First, and the most obvious: NEW YORK JETS over Atlanta Falcons then, in terms of the Wild Card Race: OAKLAND RAIDERS to beat Denver Broncos CHICAGO BEARS to beat Baltimore Ravens TENNESSEE TITANS to beat Miami Dolphins INDIANAPOLIS COLTS to beat Jacksonville Jaguars CHECK! Other games: CINCINNATI BENGALS to beat San Diego Chargers Why? These two teams will likely be battling for home field advantage. The Jets best chance to beat Cincy week 17 will be if the Bengals have clinched, and are benching their starters. HOWEVER if San Diego beats Dallas, root for San Diego next week as well. If the Bengals are locked in to the #3 spot, it's better than if they need a win for home field advantage. BUFFALO BILLS to beat New England Patriots Why? The Jets have virtually no shot at the division, but fuck the Patriots.
I see Miami and Jacksonville losing, I think Bal can beat Chicago. I think the Chargers will beat the Cowboys today so I def. wanna see SD beat Cincy next week, clinching the #2 seed for them and leaving Cincy with nothing to play for
I think MIA and JAX will lose this week but BAL will hang on until our new best friend, the Steelers will take games from BAL and MIA. Balt cannot sweep PIT, it just hardly ever happens........PIT will get up for that game.
PIT better get up for the Baltimore game because if they don't we will miss the playoffs even if we win out. BALT has the tie breaker over us. EVERYONE DOES! 1 loss a piece for MIA, JAX, and BAL plus 3 more Jet wins is what we need.
Cincy will battle with NE for the 3rd seed if that scenario happens so they will play for something.....NE sucks on the road but is undefeated at home. No team wants to play in Foxboro pretty much, sucks it will probably have to be DEN in round 1. Itd be epic is CIN@NYJ Was Week 17 and CIN just lets NYJ get in rather than a nemesis in BAL and then host NYJ the following week. Thats how ya stick it to a division rival Cincy.
The Pats are a weak road team this year and overall don't look like the unbeatable force they usually are. 2/3 of their remaining games on the road and Jacksonville isn't an easy out by any stretch.
All of this is correct except for the Cincinnati game. You want the bengals to lose. SD will be 10-3 after they beat the Cowboys and If the bengals lose next week all of a sudden they are 9-5 with a one game lead on us and having to play us and KC the last two weeks. We would then own the tiebreaker on a 2 team tie, head to head... I am still not a cincy believer, as i feel they are not as good as their record indicates...
You guys do realize that, we're assuming these teams are going to lose, but the chances of us winning out is pretty unlikely. We still have the hardest remaining schedule of any of the teams left in the playoff chase.
Everyone realizes that but at this point in the season we might as well start following some other teams and figuring out playoff situations. We all know that the Jets have a tough road ahead and that us winning is essential for any of these situations to come true.
If the D plays like today, we could probably beat the Bengals straight up with a little offense. The only worry is the Colts.
Yes, but it's nice to dream. At 4-6 the season was over, now at least we have something to cheer for each week.
Yes, but the key in the last 2 games is them both having their playoff slot locked up. If Manning and Palmer start the Jets bring the house early and I don't care if they take a late hit penalty but make Indy and Cincy realize they need to take them out if they want them in one piece for the playoffs.
i could see the bills competing hard next week. the pats are shit away from gillette and the bills have been playing well lately.
We need the Broncos to lose badly. If either the Dolphins or Jaguars lose next week with a broncos loss, all the following teams would be tied... Broncos, Jets, Ravens, Dolphins/Jaguars with 2 spots up for grab I like our chances.
