Saints/Falcons tonight. A real stinker on SNF, as NBC strangely chose not to flex out of Eagles/Cowboys (flexible scheduling for NBC begins in Week 11).
Saints used all their timeouts and Brees threw it with 8 seconds left short of the end zone. Sproles tackled at the 1, clock runs out and the Saints fail to score Brees tried to spike it but ran out of time poor clock management because they used too much time on a previous play with the clock running.
Hopefully Brees doesn't get a passing touchdown and that stupid consecutive touchdown stat of his can go away.
Mike Maycock said before the drive that 2:24 is time for four drives with Brees and Ryan. And then the Saints run out of time
Saints with another massive screwup. They were in FG range 4-11-ATL 42 (10:14) T.Morstead punts 42 yards to end zone, Center-J.Drescher, Touchback. 3-5-ATL 36 (10:40) (Shotgun) D.Brees sacked at ATL 42 for -6 yards (J.Abraham). 2-1-ATL 32 (11:26) P.Thomas left end to ATL 36 for -4 yards (W.Moore).
Saints with more horrible clock management. They let Atlanta run like 20 seconds off the clock and then call timeout.
And now Brees throws another pick. Wow Matt Ryan and drew Brees both top QBs in the league have thrown 5 pick games in last couple weeks. CRAZY
I'd rather see TB @ DEN, SEA @ CHI, or SF @ STL sunday night. No disrespect to the Cowboys or Eagles, but those two teams have had enough primetime this year and have not been very successful. Plus, the Redskins are on Monday night against the Giants. Here's a great idea! Let's put an entire division on primetime back to back nights...yeah, that seldom happens with any division, but if it's any of them of course it's the NFC east. ..barf
