The jets FO said that they think its a slim chance that the game gets moved from 1 to either 4 or 8. Now, Im thinking that if they win tonite -- it is a good chance they will be moved. An AFC game has to be moved to 415. If the Jets win tonite -- as we know -- a win against Oakland puts them in. Thus, IF they win tonite, and win at 1 oclock, the only game that still matters is the Denver v SF game (on Fox). Unless -- there is a game where someone gets in with a Denver loss (KC?) -- so maybe that game can be opposite Denver. In order to keep interest in the 1 oclock games -- I can see CBS/NFL putting the Jets at 4 (therefore all the other games will matter) and putting an NFC game at 8. I guess well see shortly.
It's spelled Wii thank you very much... I won't see the game anyway since CBS doesn't have the doubleheader.
I think the game is at 1 pm or 8 pm. And I doubt it's going to be at 8 since no one cares about the raiders...
No idea why im so obsessed with this ... but... Now that the Phillies just won, they are in. The Giants are in with a win (OMG). They play on Sat. Im sure that NBC wont go the NFC route and IF the jets win tonite -- the only games that really matter are jets and broncs. So --- my guess is jets at 4 and broncs at 8. I agree with mm I cant imagine theyd put an 8 oclocker on NYE in NYC.
The Broncos cannot play SN b/c they already played the max amount of night games allowed. i read where the Raiders game cannot be moved b/c the SF game is at 4:15 and they have a similar setup like the Jets and Giants where both cannot play at the same time.
According to Jets Confidential the game will remain a 1PM start thankfully. http://jets.scout.com/2/603878.html
INteresting. I guess one way they could go with the 8pm is GB/CHi. I think Giants are probably in with a win -- and thats Sat. If true, except for the Favre angle -- if NYG wins the game is meaningless. Same with Jax/Kc. (GB and the Giants -- if they both win -- break on strength of victory -- no idea how that will work out.) The Raider/Jets would make sense to be at night (although, they better not do that) -- because everything would have happened and then all the other teams and their fans are interested in the game. Also, NBC might like the who NY/New Years Eve thing. (Please Please no). Lets play this on a non descript 1pm game. Ive been a jet fan long enough to worry about the raiders.
I was thinking the same thing as the above poster.. but i hope to god that we don't have to play sunday night because it would kill my other plans.. got tickets for Christmas and want to go but i would much rather it on at 1.. i hope that jets confidential report is right
It seemed like a good idea at the time. As long as you are just shooting the title and not the author.
