Per the NY Post http://www.nypost.com/seven/10272008/sports/jets/brett_throws_3_picks__survives_chiefs_sc_135497.htm
Can you blame Cannizzaro for writing that? We stunk yesterday despite the win. We just flat out stunk.
I cannot agree more. I was sitting there yesterday thinking to myself "why am i paying to watch this garbage?" The Jets give us zero to cheer about...hell, the loudest roar of the 1st half was for Maynard and Namath on the field at halftime. This team really needs to get its act together, or maybe start using the same playbook that they found for the Cardinals game. JUST AWFUL.
At least we know now that the players realize the coaches are bafoons....that means they will stop playing for these idiots soon enough....7-9 here we come...its funny that you see mostly fire Sutton posts around here when shotty and Mangini should go waaaaaay before him......Mangini is a terrible, terrible coach
I ONLY read the articles & post them for others to read. If you do not like the article complain to Canny of the Post or go further & complain directly to there owner because it appears his employees can see what Woody appears to be blind to
It's pretty pathetic that a guy who hasn't played QB in 40 yrs is still looked at as the face of the franchise!!!
Well that is because we have been losers since that magic day way back on 01/12/69 when he engineered the win over the Colts
I think he was referring to the CBS broadcast when he was announced still as the face of the franchise when they interviewed him in the 3rd period
Woody spent over 100 Million dollars for this mediocre Mess. At what point does the lightbulb go on and he realize you build a Champion from the Bottom up like the Guy in Miami. Guess Our HC was not paying attention to Bill and Bill after all.
The guy in Miami who brought in your favorite QB to help turn his team around? Oh yeah, that guy.
That was one guy's opinion, who was sitting next to Joe when he said it. It's all subjective anyway, it could be referring to the history of the team or currently, not worth arguing over.
He bought in Chad to babysit until the Henne era starts. He can teach without the expectations of winning with a bad team. Chad did not have that option here because the fanbase and coaching staff expected more from out Mediocre teams over the years. The guy in Miami has the luxury of doing it right.
Namath will be the face of our Franchise until the Undetermined player to be named later makes us forget him. Hopefully it will happen in our lifetime.
I don't know about anyone else, but after the past three showings, I'm VERY concerned. 1) All this great individual talent is not translating into a great team effort. 2) Have we "gelled" yet? I'm still waiting. 3) Is the "chemistry" here yet? I don't see it. 4) Have we corrected problems that were apparent before the Bye? I don't believe so. 5) Playing the way we are, are we playoff material? The stark answer is a resounding "No." We need to get our shit together and it needs to happen now. And quite frankly, I don't know how to accomplish that. I sure hope Mangini does. This is one sloppy team. And I don't give a damn who Brett Favre is, Mangini needs to sit him down and have a talk with him, HOF'er or not. There's a time to gamble and a time not to... and this guy can't differentiate. Throw the freakin' ball into the second row if you have to, but these INTs have got to stop.
1) You are 10000% correct. I wonder where the blame falls if thats the case??? hmmmm 2) Yes the jelling has happened, but your correct statement in #1 disallows this statement to be true. 4) This CS is not good at making adjustments or playing a hard nose style of football. That does not translate into a successful team. 5) The playoffs could be had, but it will take other teams to be closer to .500.
