How many times have we almost had an INT that we didn't get? F*cking annoying...if Revis get that INT on 3rd down we win the game. Also, how the F was Gonzalez uncovered on 4th down to score??? Wasn't it obvious they were going to pass to either White who was covered by Revis or Gonzo???
Pass to Leonard in the gut ring any bells? Unbelievable.... Even Revis, as you said, dropped that pick which would have ended the game. After seeing that I said outloud with no one around: "Well now we're surely fucked."
He was such a non factor all game, I think they forgot he was on the Falcons in the first place. I like how Gonzalez wasn't a cocky prick after the game, though Ryan was a little up his own ass.
Dude all season, Revis, Rhodes, Sheppard, Leonhard, E. Smith, Strickland and Lowery all had sure INT's dropped, though Strickland and Lowery each have one I think, Sheppard I don't think has one, nor does Leonhard or Smith, Rhodes has like what? 3? and Revis has 6 and I thnink Revis and Leonhard had the most balls thrown into their numbers and even the most chances for INT's then anyone else. I love our secondary but this fact is really hurting my love for them, I appreciate what they are doing as well as the entire D, but come on, get a fucking turnover!!
The one that hurt was the Leonhard because he walks into the end zone if he picks. As it played out Clemmens droped the snap and we miss our 1st FG of the game.
Excellent observation and completely true. We've lost 2-3 games this year by producing "almost INT's" followed by scores, rather than INTs followed by wins. A team that has not figured out how to win.
Revis is an All-Pro maybe on the way to a Hall of Fame career. To win the Defensive MVP of the league, however, you need to make plays like the one he didn't make on the last series. The loss, clearly falls on the kicking team: The defense and the offense did enough to salt away a 13-3 or 16-10 win. Clemens and Feely failed. However, if we're going to heap praise and hype on Revis as being the man, and he's going to willingly welcome it, and complain when he doesn't get it, then he's going to have step up and save the team, even when it's not his fault. Even when he's done his job for 58 minutes. I've been waiting for the Jets to draft a guy to be our LT -- a guy who not only makes big plays but makes THE big play...the one that seals the ugly win...consistently. Revis may be that guy in the near future--he wasn't today and for the lack of having that guy, the Jets will be home again this year.
