Meaning we will probably play the Colts, since they will finish with the third seed most likely. What is everyone's thoughts on our chances of winning this game? Do people still want to start Clemens and blow a chance at that?

Why am I up right now?

    Jets at Indianapolis?

Let Cedric and Leon have career days.

    Pennington manage a great game.

    Jets win by 7.

    We are the sixth seed?
Thats probably the best match up we could get.
Forget the seeds and possibilities that we play them.
    1. SD, No way we could beat them
    2. Ravens, very damn tough defense couldnt see Chad beating them
    3. Pats, Could pull out a win but pats always look good in the playoffs. Moroney and Wilfork probably out for season, big impact
    4. The Colts, have a history of choking in the playoffs, looked very weak at run defense.

If we get the 6th seed, I don't care if the 1985 Bears are the opponent in the 1st round... I'll take my chances.

I think very few people want to start Clemens as long as the Jets have a shot at the playoffs.

Your scenario requires the Jets to win their last three games, something I think is hardly a slam dunk, so I'm not even thinking about Indy at this point.

why are people talking about benching pennington?! there was NOTHING in the media that said ANYTHING about benching him...clemens is NOT going to start any games unless chad gets hurt. i cant believe people are talking about clemmens as a starter, its rediculous. and how about we worry about minnesota this week, miami next week, and oakland the week after. cuz we need to win out if we're gonna be in the playoffs

    LOL, totally agree.

I hope we can make it but the odds are clearly against us.

I just hope we get to the playoffs first then we can talk about who are oppenent will be. But lets say we do make it and we play the Colts in Indianapolis which we cant forget. The Jets will need to run the ball right down the Colts throat and keep Manning and the Colts offense off the field. They cant get into a shootout with the Colts because the Jets offense isnt good enough to compete with the Colts offense. I think it would be a pretty good game because i think the Jets will be pumped up and we know how Peyton Manning has performed so far under pressure in the playoffs.

Actually, if the Jets are out of it Clemens will play week 17 whether Pennington is healthy or not. It's in the teams best interests to see what this guy has. I agree though that Pennington plays until then.

    Exactly.

Don't understand how some people would think it's more important for Clemens to play 3 games in his rookie year than it is to make the playoffs.

How about we beat the Minnesota Vikings who have the best run defense ever since 1970?

They say, you should be careful what you wish for.
I say, they should be afraid of what I wish for.

San Diego. Bring 'em on if we can get there.
We own the Chargers in San Diego.
And The Lantern loves the opportunity for personal revenge at Queefcom.

We will beat the Vikings tomorrow. We have owned the Dolphins for years, and the Raiders suck. The Bills game was just a blip, Chad was saving his best games for when it matters is all. The board's been pretty negative lately, I wanted to let people be optimistic again. We're going to win out, we are going to make the playoffs, and we are going to surprise the non-believers. This team has it's back to the wall, and in the playoffs your back is always to the wall. I have criticized Chad for his poor games this year, but the fact of the matter is that we are still in the playoff hunt, and at the end of the season losing to the Bills and Browns doesn't mean a damn thing if we can take out the Colts, Chargers and whoever else is in our way!!!

I think SD is a bit of a paper tiger

I'll take my chances against a rookie QB in the playoffs. We had Roethlisberger confused and beaten in 2004 but gave the game away.

they have no scary wide receivers

Gates can be contained. He's not Kellen Winslow.

    We contained Tomlinson in 04.
