HA HA! Better the dolphins then the Jets. So which qb do you think they have their eyes on in this draft?
They don't have the ammo to trade up for Newton. At least they don't have a 2nd rounder to doom some poor young QB with.
I hope they take a kid in the first. This QB class is embarrassingly bad. I want them to take anyone with the 15th overall so that they're franchise can blow AIDS goats for another 6 years.
I still think Henne can be a winning QB in this league. He doesn't have pro bowl upside, or even the potential of Sanchez..but if Miami can get him another weapon or 2, and he can cut down on interceptions,he has a chance to prove some people wrong.
Dilfer won SB ring. What more need I say? Oh. Henne doesn't have that Ravens defense. Neither does he have the running game Ravens had that year. That fucker is doomed.
Those three only cost them a fraction of what Russlle did to the raiders. Still, its good when a team you play twice a year fails.
That's a big if. I'm sure I'll get crucified here, but I might rather have them trade up and mortgage for Newton than address a ton of other needs and take advantage of a potential Ryan Mallett free fall. IMO, he could end up the best QB in this draft, although a lot of it depends on how true those tales are of his major character problems. I don't trust much this time of year.
i think the guy being forgotten in the discussion is Christian Ponder. he'll turn some heads long as hes got an OL and a decent coaching staff. that being said that would require good scouting so the phins wont be drafting him.
the only thing ive picked up since having to move down here was FSU Football. nothing was funnier to me then ppl grading Boldin as a 2nd-4th rd guy based on his 4.7+ 40 time. Ive seen Ponder from day 1 and he was trapped the first 2 years under the twilight years of Bobby Bowden. not to mention his whole career was spent throwing to guys who were either open and couldnt catch or couldnt get him consistent looks. he doesnt have a cannon but is mobile, smart, can read progressions fairly well , can throw on the run and has nice accuracy for short to intermediate routes. only knock on him i can think of is he can be streaky but ironically he has a short memory when he makes mistakes. injuries could be a concern because sometimes he tries to make plays when he should cut his losses. i had him pegged as a 1st rd grade by his junior year. its either injury or a lack of consistent output from supporting cast which has him on the cusp of 1st rd discussion. why hes worked his way into there? any NFL scout has access to put on their laps the tape of what i saw. and anyone whod sit down and interview the kid wouldnt come away disappointed thats for sure
oh you didnt know? the fact that the jury is still out on sanchez directly parallels the dolphins not having a decent qb since Jay Fiedler Cleo Lemons for president
