I have watched Ducasse thru the exipition season. He has made significant progress. I fell he will be part of at least a three player at guard and might win a starting role
I would love to believe so but he lost an open competition with Matt Slauson earlier this year... He has expeirence playing the T position & he couldn't even take that job from Wayne Hunter.... WAYNE HUNTER
slauson is a solid lg.he may never be a probowler but he gets the job done at a salary that is easy on the cap. ducasse played well this preseason and i would bet he is the heir apparent to b.moore. he is not/ was never a nfl tackle and now the team knows it. come next year the transition to v.d. at rg will be seamless
This is true: for a second I was watching him vs. Philly and thought "No wonder he didn't work in St. Louis. He is a fat slob" thinking he was Jason Smith. But it was Vlad. haha.
Any poster with kelly in their name on this board just make me nervous. TGG has had enuff experience dealing with kelly's
Ducasse is a guard, not a tackle. I think the Jets are firmly convinced of that now. That said, I think he can be a starting G in the NFL. He did look good in preseason. If Slauson or Moore gets hurt, Ducasse would be a good fit. Or if either underperforms. I still don't trust Vlad in space though.
Ducasse has made a good amount of progress. That can't be denied. I could see him taking Moore's starting job sometime before next season. Moore is nearing the end but I'm sure he's got another decent year in him, especially if Ducasse starts getting more snaps to keep him rested.
