    http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...-would-draft-marcus-mariota-if-hes-available/

Seems pretty sure this is going to happen, on first take today ryan clark seemed to think that it is very possible and he played there last season... if this happens do you think RG III would be a viable option? i mean gailey spread offense, really good skill position players (especially if we land spiller and also helu is available) fresh start with a players coach... what would you trade if he became available?

or would you rather just take a flyer on a late rounder (petty/grayson)??

(didnt know if i should put this here or draft section, but it has a bit to do with both so what the heck)

McGag needs to be on the phone forthwith with Jax and Oakland and Tennessee.

I think it's a smoke screen to get Philly to send the house for him

Why wouldn't the Jets be interested in RG3 in that scenario?

He's better than Fitzpatrick and Geno. I'm not sure what they'd want for him, but he could potentially be very good.

Is Griffin healthy? Imo I was concerned about Bradford being too fragile, but is game does not depend on running it. Griffin with those knee injuries and his style of play is a ticking time bomb.

Of course that may very well be DC's reasoning if they in fact do pick Mariota.

I would be ok with trading a few picks for him, up to a second rounder. hes a great talent in the right system. Ive seen some outlets posting the jets were impressed by Brett Hundley both on the field and even more so in the classroom at his pro day today, so add him in the mix for 2nd round and below this year.

This would be very interesting. But it's probably a smokescreen or maybe just a ploy by Wash to trade down for extra picks. If Wash does want to draft Mariota you have to believe they will get rid of Griffin even though they gave up a fortune in their trade up to get him. And maybe start either Colt or Cousins in 2015. RG 3 starting for us? A big upgrade over Geno. He seems to be disliked a lot in Wash.

Smokescreen for sure. They won't give up on RG3 already.

Chip also said someone offered him a first for Bradford. I hope it wasn't us.

As of now I don't see how Mariotta drops to 6. TENN or WASH will take him or trade someone for him. My dream scenario would be to draft him and let him sit behind Fitz for a year. Any chance we trade up? Geno is not a good football player and needs to be out.

But at this juncture, with Philly and the Rams seemingly out of the mix, who else is trading up for Mariota? Cleveland? Chicago? Saints?

That would be my preferred plan.

I don't see Tennessee taking him.

Supply and Demand could make a trade up to 4 a killer. The good old trade value chart says that we can get to four by throwing in our third with the number 6 pick.

If that was all it took to move up, I would have no problem with it. Unfortunately, when trading up for a QB the team seems to ask for much more. I would not trade an additional first rounder under any circumstance. Maybe an additional third next year, or something along those lines. I wouldn't trade the farm to jump Washington.

Not sure that Griffin is brainless. And he was a much higher prospect than Marcus is now when he came out. Which again shows how hard it is to evaluate Qbs in college. If he was available cheap I'd take him over Geno and Fitz. We have no 5th or 6th. I'd give them our 4th for RG3.

Washington has been run poorly but they are likely smart enough to know that they should take Mariotta and worry about what to do with RG3 later.

Would I think it is worth bringing RG3 in as a free agent if he is cut? Sure. Would I trade anything less than an 8th rounder for him? No.
