This season was like a beer with a deep, complex taste that got warm at the very end of the bottle, rendering it undrinkable.
If voting no means it was failure I can't do that. It wasn't a success either. I am on board with beer.
11-5 with a trip to AFC Title Game. Yeah, success. Technically its a failure though, with Super Bowl or Bust expectations from everyone.
judging on the question "was it a success" i say no. Had the question been "is it a failure" i also would have voted no
im sick of wondering if the season was a success and saying we had a good run and that there is always next year... i was ready for this year... i am so fucking sick of next years... i just want one, thats all i want... one fucking superbowl in my life... this team fucking teases year after year and never gets it done... fuck this /rant... needed to vent
I guess it depends on what you expect. If you expected them to win the Super Bowl this year, then obviously it's a failure. Some fans look at their team and expect an 8-8 season, if they get any farther, that's just icing on the cake.
sustained success is the first step to not being a mediocre franchise. That step seems to be on its way to complete. The next step is winning it all. Have faith in Rex and Sanchez.
While I do like beer, I've been on a Bourbon kick for a while. Maker's Mark is my favorite right now, but since I'm a broke grad student Jim Beam works too. Also I wouldn't call this season a failure, especially once the sting of this loss subsides, but this team had one goal and they fell short.
I love beer. But the season was a success. No doubt in my mind. The difference is, last year, after the run they made, I was satisfied. After this playoffs, I'm not satisfied. That doesn't change the fact that the season was a success, but I am not satisfied after this year.
