Or they want to concentrate him on at right tackle so he can learn that position like multiple members of the coaching staff, Rex and Tannenbaum have said in the past. Either or.
I never said anyone was cut directly because of Vlad- I said it pissed me off that good players are getting cut, while he gets to make the team. (only because of draft status)
Well I certainly don't expect them to report that the move was made because Vlad is horrible. Turner was hurt weeks ago, I don't buy it. Vlad got blown up against Philly making it necessary to make the trade. That's my take anyway.
Which player that was going to contribute this year got cut? Please save yourself the embarrassment of saying Aaron Maybin.
Actually his potential keeps him on the team. If he was complete shit they'd get rid of him. He doesn't cost much in terms of salary, so if he couldn't cut it they'd just get rid of him. It would be the same deal as the boar hunter. But who got cut that is a "good player?"
Your take and reality are two different things. What was reported is reality. Vlad is not an interior OL, and Schlauderaff can't play Tackle.
Vlad has certainly been the "developmental" pick many pegged him as the day he was selected. Sadly, it appears he has not developed as much as we would prefer, or the Jets would need. He is a major liabillity going into this season, on a team possibly one snap away from....Mark Brunell. Thats Risky with a capital "R". Bolded even. Perhaps even with a striking font.
He's a backup. Unless Hunter goes down with an injury, he's seeing the field as the 4th TE in running plays. If he was starting, there would be cause for concern. He's not getting much playing time this season with the starters. And the rest of that sentence...are you trying to say Sanchez is an injury risk? I really don't see what a backup OL has to do with the potential for a QB to be injured. Seems like something to worry about if Brick. Slauson, Mangold, Moore or Hunter was a problem.
It will be interesting to see if the Jets pick up another offensive lineman this week. I wonder what the odds are on that...
You can't miss on a #1 and a #2 back-to-back. Vernon and Vlad = 2 Busts. Mike T. needs to step it up, draft-wise.
Wayne Hunter is the real problem on our O-Line. That dude is afraid to hit anyone. DE's blow by him like a breeze.
I defended Ducasse, because I believed he needed time to grow and learn the offense. I was wrong. He's awful.
He had a penalty and he and Brick combined to get Sanchez half killed. That's a horrible, horrible game (especially since he played about 15 snaps).
Yeah I don't remember any glaring mistakes on his part. But in that game,it was easy to miss mistakes because there was so freaking many.
False start's are kind of understandable;you've just come off the bench and are probably focusing more on the play and what you've to do rather than the snap count. I also think that sack is 100% on D'Brick,Ducasse had to go and pick up the bltizer.Ferguson should of stayed on the guy.
