Even when he sucked during his first season the team won with him and made the playoffs. Now that he is playing well it seems impossible for him to lose. Terrible prevent defense didnt hurt either
After that Rose Bowl I wanted the Jets to draft him at #4 but he went #3 and we took Brick. For a while I thought we dodged a bullet, but his team's record as a starter is something like 23-11. Now I'm not so sure.
I started a thread on Vince back earlier a few months ago, it went like this "...I know I'll probably get flamed for this, but I keep seeing this weekend's sports ticker on TV and it keeps flashing how Jeff Fisher of the Titans wants Kerry Collins back as his QB. So I got to wondering, what's going on with Vince Young? I know he went through some minor drama this year, but I do remember him playing some solid football previously. He is still fairly young, 25 I think, and maybe a change of scenery would be our fortune. Anyone here think Tennessee would entertain offers and what do you guys think about bringing him here? Thoughts, comments?:wink:..." And I got flamed.....lol, still got a burn mark on my Arse....
Young just seems like he's hard to get off the field. He can beat you running or throwing, even though he has an odd delivery he moves the chains. I know Fisher is the coach, but 23-11 is pretty impressive for a team in the Colts' division. Every time we've played them I've been relieved not to face him. In 2006 it was his first game and he only got a series or two, 2007 they kicked our ass, the past two seasons we've beaten them with Kerry Collins in there.
I'm sorry, I am still not impressed. Chris Johnson is averaging over 125 yards a game over the last 6 weeks. Vince Young has now ONE good passing game, and it comes against the powerhouse secondary in Arizona. Not impressed. He's still not a Quarterback.
Newsflash, the Cardinals secondary is alot better than years past. Antrell Rolle, Adrian Wilson and Cromartie make the secondary pretty good.
