Vilma looked so lost out there today, he looked down right awful. When are we going to move him outside? He's not an ILB in this 3-4.

Vilma didn't play all that well today your right.

I wonder why he had such trouble picking up the ball on that fumble. If he picked it up cleany the first time he had touched the ball he would have had a Touchdown.

Screw that, he completely shit the bed on that first TD pass to open the game. I love the guy and think he'll be a tremendous player for us for years to come...but he was really bad at times today

Vilma is still adjusting to this defense.

He was pretty bad. Some costly penalties, some bad coverage. And let me tell you, he can't get off blocks at times. May be a tad overrated, he hasn't been good this year.

on his horsecollar penalty he had the sholder so I wouldn't count that against him.. the worst was when he jumped on McGahee but other than that he had an ok game..

Today was one of his worst games as a Jet I agree.

The reason is because he normally plays great.

He had some mistakes today. No biggie. It happens.

Honestly what exactly did you expect Vilma to do on the horse collar penalty. This was not a particularly good game for Vilma, but there is absolutely no need to panic.

The first post in this thread suggests moving him to the outside.

The problem here is that we are forcing the 3-4 and in doing that the LB's are Constantly mismatched.
As the season goes on, you will see more "Mismatches" being exposed by teams. It's happened a few times already most notably today.

Dropping a LB back into a zone is one thing but having a guy like Thomas Covering a TE or RB is simply mind boggling.

  14. I personally didn't think he played that bad. He made a few nice tackles as always. The penalties are inexcusable though.

easy guys..he's probably the best all around player we have. he's fine, and if he has games when he's "lost" and we still win then i have no problem. and the "horsecollar" penalty wasn't a horsecollar at all on the second look, he got him by the shoulder pad and under his jersey

This game wasn't too great but I'm sure he'll bounce back.

I'm sure he'll look at the tape this week and want to bounce back. Hopefully he'll bounce back right into Peyton Manning's face.
