He has us taking McFadden with Gholston splitting to the Bengals. Thoughts? http://www.nfl.com/news/story;jsess...0d5d807016db&template=with-video&confirm=true
I know I'm going to take heat for this, but I now have Mendenhall rated (not by much) higher than DMC on my board. I believe Rashard would be a much better fit for the Jets, I don't think we can justify picking him at #6. I really would like to trade down into the mid-teens and pick-up another couple of picks, maybe a Rd 3 (get back into Rd 3) & 4 and something next year. Pick Mendenhall or A CB like D.R.-C. in the teens.
To Dallas We have our dance partner if McFadden is 6th - we don't need running back combo of jones and washington will be fine. I believe we can get both of dallas number 1 picks and then also a high pick next year or later one this year, he wants this guy bad and will make the move. We then get possibly a lineman like otah or cherilus and reciever like manningham. 2nd rd flacco, henne or ainge - ainge might be 3rd rd steal even.
I don't listen to the talking heads and follow the herd. I truly believe in what I've seen of both players, Mendenhall has more of an upside.
I'm at the point where I say that if anyone offers us something reasonable for the #6 overall pick, take it. Throw that points draft value chart out the window. Why? Because it looks more & more like we are not going to be able to find a trading partner to move down if we insist on using the points value chart. It doesnt seem like anybody in the league is really pressing to get a certain player. I think that thing is BS anyway. I've seem posters say Dallas giving us their 2 first round picks along w/a 3rd rounder because it equals 1600 on the chart. If Dallas offers us both their 1st round picks for ours, I say take it & call it a great day. It looks like Dewayne Robertson's contract is going to strap us paying #6 overall money anyway.
gholston will not fall past the patriots. Their linebacking core is ridiculously old and they would love to have gholston. And quentin groves is most definitely not better than gholston
What has Groves done to warrant a top 10 pick? What has he done that makes him a better prospect than Gholston? I don't get it.
Mario Manningham is a short, slow receiver with bad hands, I don't understand why people put him in the first round.
