There re a few fairly big name players that did not get drafted, guys that had been afforded some predraf publicity, and I am surprised hat the Jets have not already taken a look at some of them Martin Nance for one, a WR from Miami Ohio...he is 6'4, not all that fast as he runs a 4.55 but probably worth a look Also, OLB Spencer Havner, who actually was interiewed on NFL radio and was also expectedto be drafted, not all that fast but has decent size. CB Darrell Hunter....alost 6 feet tall, over 200 lbs, runs in the 4.4's......even for depth he'd be good to have a look at. and may I say....Marcus Vick.....I know, I know...but someone has to take a chance on the guy and he can always be cut....there's no denying his athletic ability...
Marcus Vick has already been invited to Miami's mini camp... As for the other guys, I think some of them have signed on already, but I don't know.
Kai Parham LB Virginia - This guy can play..He was rated in the top 5 of ILB and is very comfortable in the 3-4...He was projected in the 1st round and then seemed to fdrop like a rock..Anybody know why? I know his combine numbers were not all that good but they were still saying he played fast...finished 19th in school history with 272 tackles in only 3 yrs.. First-team All-ACC..Played in a 3-4 defensive scheme under Al Groh which is all the rage in the NFL these days...What did this guy do not to get drafted? Mug his grandma?
I found this on Draft daddy looks like he is a cowboy! In response to Dallas Cowboys fans, who have been great this site, we'd like to say we've listed Virginia linebacker Kai Parham as a signed undrafted free agent for the Cowboys, but we are not 100% sure it's official. The info does come from a solid source and, when you think about it, it makes sense. Parham played at Virginia for Al Groh, good friend of Cowboys head coach Bill Parcells. Also, Parham is better suited towards the 3-4 defense, which the Cowboys employ. Parham is a very good football player and a solid citizen, who really just fell off the draft charts due to poor 40 times. He's got a chance to stick in the NFL, however, as he plays faster than he times. He's definitely a high-motor, overachiever, who fits the mold of the type of backup/special teamer Bill Parcells likes.
