This bothers me about the Jets defense. They don't attack the ball. They read and react. Watch any Jet defender, and they wait on the ball carrier instead of swarming and attacking. I really hate that.
if your coverage can't cover, you can't take risk blitzing if you're up by 11, you don't risk giving up a big play by blitzing we run a bend but don't break defense, get used to it
I know exactly what we run. I said I don't like it. And I don't like going conservative when being up by 11 IN THE FIRST QUARTER! It's coaching scared, and it's why we've lost half the games we've lost.
They don't need to be aggressive, Buffalo can't pass and over aggressiveness opens up the screen pass to Marshawn.
The Playcalling is one thing, them not attacking the ballcarrier, and tacklinig like a Flagfootballteam is another.
What bothers me is this is looking more and more like an average Jets playoff team since the 2001 season. They look fine at the beginning, then by the last couple weeks they have to sneak in and wind up losing by the 2nd round, usually on account of a kicker. Atleast we're competitive this year, but i'm writing off a superbowl appearance for the time being. Hopefully the team can change my mind by winning out.

this kinda game shows your that DC is way more of a problem then OC. This team can score with anybody, no doubt about it. We just gave up 2 touchdowns to a team that hasnt scored a td since forever. i will give sutton a standing ovation if he grows the balls to rush more then 3
what defense can be successful under sutton? he is one of the worst DC's I've seen in a long time. i would bet if the 2000 ravens D was coached by sutton, it would be just an average defense
Bend but don't break defenses fails miserably when you can't cover anyone even with 3 men rushing. We badly need to blitz and blitz a lot.
This is fucking sad, once again the curse comes in to play. I am 53 years old and have been a fan for 40 years, these motherfuckers are going to stink up the joint once again. Fucking Sutton would not even make it out of the locker room at halftime if I had my way. I am also watching the Fish kick the shit out of the 49'ers and making them look as bad as they really are. I hate to say it but this team is not going to make the playoffs and even if they did they won't last more then the first game. This pussy defense set up has to go, dropping off ten freaking yards and allowing the crap QB's of the NFL to look all world. Look at the Steelers defense they attack attack attack and attack some more. They are not worring about a pass getting behind them, the opposing QB is the one who is worried about getting layed out on his ass again. You ask me as soon as the season is over Sutton is sent packing and we contact the Steelers and get the LB's coach in here asap and get the defense on track. There is no reason with this much talent, we should look like total shit and Qb's have enough time to make a pot of coffee in the back field waiting for a receiver to get open....
