    Greetings

Myself and 3 mates are coming to NYC for the Rams game in November - very excited, 1st time.

I'm trying to find out where people gather before/after games near the staduim - bars (pubs), eateries etc.

In England prior to a football (soccer) game, most lads go for a few beers and a giggle befor the match kicks off.

We'll be staying in Manhattan so any advice/tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It would also be good if the Jets can win a few games before we get over there too...

    Cheers all.

its a big "gathering" or party in the parking lot before the game which involves cooking, eating, drinking, talking about football, music.

Like Great Swamp says...it's a big party in the parking lot. To do it right you need food, drink, chairs, a table, music, a football to toss around, etc etc. Since you'll probably taking public transportation in, just bring a shitload of beer and maybe some sandwiches. Try to get there real early and check out the bubble. They have games and stuff.

    Have fun.

The buses are back and the train from Penn Station NY to Secaucus Junction is still alive. It's a great trip.

If you are lucky enough to be invited to a tailgate you will soon realise why the game itself is just the icing on the cake to a great day. You will have to see the operation some crews have in setting up their zones and how proffessionaly it is done. We are talking huge portable cooking stoves, huge plasma tv's running of generators, beer by the lorry load and some of the best BBQ recipies (all secretly guarded) that you will ever taste. Oh man........

I usually hit the GrasshopperAlso in Lyndhurst, which is about 3min from the stadium. Nice big bar, lots of tv's to watch the 4pm games and cold canadian beer..I try to stay away from that watered down American beer.
I will also be attending the Rams game..hope they kick some ass!
