The guys on the Jets post-game are flabbergasted. Ever see something so stupid that you couldn't find the words to express what you just saw? That's Ray Lucas and Willie Colon trying to explain... Well, not even explain... Just wondering what the heck was going on in Todd Bowles' mind as that was all going down.
I mean, I have no words. He'll probably be back and I have supported him this season, but that support is slipping away.
Petty was pretty terrible today. The fact that Bowles' game decisions and time management are a point of discussion in the aftermath tells you just how bad a coach he is.
The happy and sympathetic way that Chris Johnson greeted him at the locker room door last week told me he's coming back. Not sure I like that.
Lost by 1 score with a crappy QB. Put the clamps on one of the better offenses in the league. Good gameplan, couldn't execute. We all know why the Jets lost the game. I don't think Bowles is a BAD coach by any means, just wanted to get the hell out of there.
the fix is in, Bowles has marching orders to lose out, his job is safe. There's no other rational explanation.
Seems to me that Houston wins over Pittsburgh tomorrow and Indianapolis next week, San Francisco wins over Jacksonville now and the Rams next week, and Denver win over KC next week make all of them 6-10 and behind the Jets when they lose next week (God willing). If Tampa Bay wins next week they're also 5-11, but with a higher strength of schedule so they're behind the Jets as well, and the Jets pick fourth. Obviously very unlikely, but we can dream, can't we?
