I think he could potentially be a steal he's wr/te and could be that recieving te that we need while Baker could be the blocker. If he comes out he wont be in the third by the way most likely 4th or 5th Cornelius Ingram may be close to playing his final game at Florida. Ingram, Florida's junior tight end, said Monday he expects to forgo his senior year and enter the NFL Draft if he learns that he will be drafted in the first three rounds. Ingram added that he believes he will be. "I am pretty confident about it," Ingram said. "I'm trying not to worry about it. I'm just trying to get ready for Michigan." Ingram submitted paperwork to the NFL's advisory committee earlier this month regarding his draft status. He said he expects to receive that paperwork back as early as this week. Ingram said he won't announce his final decision until after Florida plays Michigan in the Capital One Bowl on Jan. 1. Ingram said he's not approaching this game any differently even though it may his last at UF. "I try to go out and play every game like it's my last," Ingram said. "But like I tell people all the time, if I have to come back one more year, that's not a problem. I'm just trying to wait on the results. Then I'm going to sit down and talk to my coaches and my family." Ingram leads the Gators with seven touchdown receptions this season, and is fourth on the team with 33 catches for 491 yards. Ingram knows his performance on Jan. 1 could also greatly affect his draft status. "I know it's a big game," Ingram said. "With a lot of NFL prospects they have on their team, and the ones on our team, I know a lot of NFL (scouts) are going to be there." Defensive end Derrick Harvey is the other Gator junior who submitted paperwork to the NFL
If he comes out and runs a great 40 at the combine, I could see him going in the first round. This year's tight end class isn't that great...so he has a great chance to become the most wanted tight end. Fred Davis is probably the best receiving tight end right now, but he's no where near as dangerous in the vertical passing game as Cornelius Ingram. Mizzou's Martin Rucker is the best all around tight end with John Carlson of Notre Dame right behind.
Wake me up when a first round TE is worth it. Well, I'd say only in the mid to late 20s so you play with a winning team.
A healthy Kellen Winslow Jr. is worth it, but I never want to see the Jets take a tight end in the first round...especially after the Kyle Brady fiasco.
