Here are some of the projected draftees who went undrafted == QB Erik Meyer QB Bret Basanez QB Darrell Hackney QB Paul Pinegar QB Marcus Vick == RB Andre Hall RB Taureen Henderson RB Dontrell Moore RB Gerald Riggs RB Derrick Ross == WR Martin Nance WR Austin Miles WR Greg Lee WR Hank Baskett WR Ed Hinkel == TE Tim Day == OG Stefan Wheeler OG Adam Stenavich == DT Henry Anderson == DE Eric Henderson == DE/OLB Mike Kudla {I think the Jets will make a run at this Guy} == OLB Spencer Havner OLB Brian Iwuh == ILB Kai Parham ILB Freddy Roach ILB Dale Robinson == CB Darrell Hunter CB Anwar Phillips == S Dwayne Slay ==
For the life of me I can't understand why wasn't Martin Nance taken; 6-4, decent speed, good hands and had 90 catches last season.
I'd like the Jets to look at Nance, Baskett, Stenavich, Kudla, Havner, Parham, Roach, Hunter, Phillips.
I'd be willing to bet that Martin Nance and Hank Baskett will not only make their team's roster, but that they will be in the league for at least 5 years. I've seen them both play just a little, and I remember both of their names for the draft. They have the size/hands/production to surprise.
We need to pick up Nance and/or Baskett because they'd give us good depth at WR and both should have been drafted. If our organization wants high character guys pick up Brandon Hoyte, who has all the intangibles in the world, to be a special teamer too
I was surprised I didn't see Hoyte in any of the draft publications I bought. He graduated from the same high school as I did, so I hope he catches on somewhere.
No, noone has any idea if he can play football. But he has the characteristics it takes to play the game.. Definetly worth the chance to stick on your PS for a year.
Jai Lewis signed with the giants http://www.forbes.com/home/feeds/ap/2006/05/01/ap2710772.html We were in the running but he went to them.
Well I'm attending Sayreville High now so of course any talk of the NFL Draft had Brandon Hoyte's name in it. He was on nfldraftcountdown.com.
