Darius Butler may not play like a pro bowl CB, but he sure looks like one running drills. Looked Hollywood perfect running the 40. All this talk about Donald Brown, I think Charles Davis said he will be one of the top two backs taken. Maybe I'm just stupid but I don't see what the Donald Brown excitment is all about, I see him as a third round pick or later. No video shots, but they talked about QB Tyler Lorenzen running drills as a safety. It seems he's 6'4'' with great speed, might be a conversion project for somebody. One draft site even listed "LB" as a potential position for him, seems like an intriguing prospect.

Donald Brown has good measurements, speed, and production. But like anyone else he may do well in the NFL or he may not. From what I've read he seems to have more desire and work ethic than some of the other top backs. I wouldn't take him above the 3rd round but I would like to see what he can do.

I think Donald Brown is going to be successful. He's a really smart guy and an extremely hard worker. When you combine that with even moderate football ability, it's very difficult not to succeed, barring injury or drafted-by-Raiders. And if you've seen any of his film, you know that he has much more than simply moderate football ability.

I want a running back in the first, preferably Beanie or Knowshon, but if we reached for Donald Brown, I would not be disappointed. There is no way he's still on the board by our second pick, let alone round three.

Donald Brown is a solid Round 2 prospect, there is a very slight chance he could fall into late Rd 1. Don't be surprised New England takes him with one of their multiple Rd 2 picks.....word in BeanTown Belichicken is very high on DB.

May have some of the best hands of all the RBs in this draft, highly intelligent player with a desire to succeed. I see a bright future for Mr. Brown.

Seems Bellichik was the one who asked to see Lorenzan at S, and he apparently also was spending most of his time looking at the 2 CBs Butler and Dahna Deleston

Better hands than Marlon Lucky? The Jets' own Bill Callahan coached Lucky in college, I suspect that if he gives the thumbs up the Jets will take Lucky with a mid to late round pick.

Donald Brown will be a great RB in this league...I just think we would have better use for Shonn Greene.

a lot of people really underestimate Donnie Brown.......he led to NCAA in rushing, i know the big east is nothing special, but its not like he grinded out run after run to score....he made many big long runs throughout his career and made plays when they needed it.....

i'm a Uconn fan, i may be biased but this kid is gonna great in the pros

  9. Darius Butler has a chance to be a star. He's been the best Uconn player on the team for 4 straight years including his freshman season. He reminds of a bigger, slightly slower version of Aaron Glenn.
