I'm a huge Wilson fan and despite a bad year, he'll be taken well early in the 1st round.
Wilson got screwed with a bad offseason in Arkansas w/the Bobby Petrino mess and even though he had Cobi Hamilton, there was a dropoff in talent.

Thanks to Tanny, we just have way too many other holes to address before we draft a QB,....toss him in as a rookie,.....behind an incompetent o-line,.....shallow talent of WR,....and no running game to speak of.

Thats a recipe for creating 2nd versions of either David Carr, Joey Harrington,.........and even Mark Sanchez.

thats why you get a vet and let him get killed and build up the line and talent around the young QB

This is the dilemma of where our team is at. Tanny has done such an awful job over the past few years that we find ourselves with so many holes, we dont know what to do first.
I am building a mock that drafts o-line right away. Sanchez pay is guaranteed for 2013 season, so he should be the vet getting killed that you refer to. Which means that we draft the QB early in the 2014 draft and start him as a rookie right away for the 2014 season. Despite the recent successful track record of rookie QBs, there is such a risk that he gets PTSD that 2014 rookie season and gets all effed up for the rest of his career (David Carr, Joey Harrington,.....and even Mark Sanchez).

I'm for choosing a developmental QB in the 2013 draft, let him sit the bench and get a few plays during the season. Then make a decision in 2014 as to who starts. But make it very clear to Sanchez that the new kid is the heir apparent. Maybe it lights Sanchez's fire and actually challenges him for the first time in his career, or maybe he folds like a paper tent.

I kinda like Tyler Bray as a developmental pick in the Second or third round. He's got a few flaws, but they're all coachable and he has a huge potential upside. What I like most about him is he reads the field well and has a big arm and hits recievers in stride. But he does have a few mechanical flaws and he's not the most mobile QB, but he feels pressure pretty well and moves up in the pocket to buy time.
