I didn't see a thread on either of these players so I thought I would ask you guys opinion on it

    DHB -
Think Darius Howard-Bay could be a solid addition possibly a good #2 he has speed can catch well and is only 25. I read in a article Oakland is cleaning the house so it could be a good possibility he could be with a new team in 2012 he wouldn't be demanding too much money on the account he had a slump this year only averaging 500 or so yards this year. Which still isn't so bad looking at our WR's numbers in 2013 his contract runs out after 2014 but is only due to earn 2.8 mill next year. I think this could be a good move and save us a draft pick considering we were to go WR with our 3-4 round pick.

    Delanie Walker -
Keller will most likely not be with us next season and for some odd reason I'm not really too depressed about it he was injury prone this year dropped balls ,couldn't block and regressed a lot because of it and he will STILL probably want more then he played for
So we will have to grab a TE in the draft or sign one and the only TE in FA this off season that even seems worth it is Walker. Let's face it the man can do anything he blocks he can catch well and he has a great work ethic being a UFA he won't get a contract ext. From the niners being that even Vernon Davis had a decreased role in the offense since Kaep started . Other teams will want him but I think we can make the deal and grab him it will fill a much needed hole and help our run game though we will throw more this year.

What do you think ? Is it a stretch to make both deals or do you think it can be done ?

I think Heyward Bey is a really bad fit with this new scheme. If this was a vertical offense, he would have been a nice signing. Now? I think its overkill being that Hill is a misfit in this WCO who is similar to DHB.

Walker is a very intriguing option. Him and James Casey from the Texans would be solid fits here and could perform very well. They would be cheaper than Keller and I would prefer them most likely.

I brought up Delanie Walker awile back, He seems like a pretty good TE and San Fran doesn't really need him as much as we would so........... But with that said is he really better then Keller when he is healthy??? We will never see how good Keller could be unlesss we get a real QB in here

Heyward Bey is actually a good fit in the west coast offense we plan on running, He can go deep , Alot of short passes, WR Screens etc. He has got great speed witch we lack the most of at the posiston. What WR currently on the roster is burning any DB 60 yards for a TD????We need a speed reciver

Ummmm... Thats why we drafted Stephen Hill in the second round last year. His 4.29 is plenty fast. Like Hill, DHB would not be great fits.

In a WCO you have to be a great route runner, quicker than fast, have the ability to create separation in and out of breaks and reliable hands in tight spaces. DHB might be able to provide a Desean Jackson type WR, but thats why we drafted Hill- to provide a deep threat and keep the defense honest. Now I dont think Hill is very good yet, but I certainly would like to see what this kid can do.

I wouldnt be opposed to him for a very low contract but he wouldnt be a must sign for me.

If thats why we drafted Hill our whole scouting department deserves to be fired,Im still not sure why we traded up for him. Hill caught one nice pass in the first game of the season and was a dud the rest of the year, its like everyone we draft takes 5-10 years to develop into a midlevel talent

Why else would we have drafted him?... To be honest, Im not his biggest fan, but Im not ready to throw in the towel yet.

I would rather draft someone like Markus Wheaton or Quinton Patton and build through the draft. Heyward Bey would be solid for depth though and would provide flexibility if Hill sucks again.

I like the thought of Wheaton but its a stretch to say he will draft him if he is a true 2nd rounder

    Hill = DHB but cheaper

They both drop a lot of passes too.

I think him or Patton could slip to the 3rd. Theres a ton of receivers in that 2nd-3rd round range and some are bound to fall. Wheaton and Patton are future studs IMO, and if we somehow got more picks I would be okay drafting him in the 2nd.

Another FA TE I like is Fred Davis. He's coming off a bad injury but that's why we could get him for a bargain.

No to DHB, we have S. Hill

No to Walker, he would've been good in Ground and Pound, but his hands are shit and I wouldn't want him in a WCO.

I'd rather draft a WR in Round 2 or 3, than taking a flyer on DHB. He's had issues with dropped balls and seems to be injury prone. He had a chance to be the undisputed #1 in Oakland and never ran with it. Just think, DHB and one of his best friends and college teammates Torrey Smith were both drafted the same year. DHB went at #7 and Smith at #58. Who would you rather have now? That's a no brainer.

In regards to Walker, he's a great do everything player as I said in another post. Can line up in the slot, as a FB, H back, TE, good blocker. However he's going to be in high demand and don't know if the Jets will be able to afford a bidding war for his service.

a deep threat for a recently extended QB who cannot throw deep. either because he does not have the arm or because he refuses to wait that long in the pocket.

Not saying DHB is someone I would want, but to be shortsided in thinking " Sanchez can't go deep so we don't need a drop threat", is just ridiculous
We need to upgrade this offense tremendously and surrounding the QB with more talent should be #1 on the priority list.

Keller is likely gone, and that is fine.
I like the Walker move quite a bit..
