Hey Ya'll, been awhile since I've posted. Coming into this past draft I was really rooting for Drew Olsen from UCLA to get drafted. His numbers were off the charts this past season, and he only improved as a QB from the time when he was a freshman. In fact, if memory serves me correctly, his completion percentage was in the mid 60's (??). Something like 33TD's to like 5 ints? In fact, I think his numbers were better than alot of the star QB's last year, including our Kellen Clemens. Maybe Olsen was a fluke. I don't know. I'm not a guru on football, nor do I pretend to be. But he didn't seem to be a fluke. I know some things, and I know somethings aren't that important to know. I'm a fan, not a coach. Anyway, from what little I could find... his eligibility was expired? I don't know how that whole thing works. I thought it was based on numbers of years since leaving highschool? I thought this guy had some true talent and was worthy of a draft pick.... what round? couldn't say.... maybe a 3rd or a 4th. But I don't think he even went into the draft. Someone help me out with why? This makes no sense to me. (sorry for being so long-winded)

He was a senior last year and even if he had any eligibility left, he applied for the draft, thus forfeiting any eligibility. I don't believe he was drafted but should be in camp somewhere.

After going undrafted in the 2006 NFL draft, he signed a non-guaranteed contract as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens.

He has the physical and mental package necessary to develop into a surprise starter over time with further development, though he is only a marginal athlete and not the player of his press clippings. The type of college QB with fine production within a system, but must show he can improve to make it in the NFL.
