It’s weird to me these teams are electing not to play their starters. I guess not having preseason last year makes these teams think it’s not necessary. Packers I can sort of understand but the Giants aren’t even good. Their starters need just as much reps if not more than ours.

I hope everyone has realistic expectations heading into this. It will be the first time Zach has seen an NFL caliber secondary and the first time our secondary has seen an NFL caliber QB. Not saying that Zach isn't because he is, but there's a little but of a difference I'd say...

Fun Fact : Saleh was the best man when Matt LaFleur got married a few years back. They also served as Assitant Coaches at Central Michigan back in 2004.

They are good buddies. I knew there was a connection but didn't know those 2 were this close.

Although catastrophic injury is obviously a worry, especially with contracts that are not fully guaranteed, it will work out for a high percentage of players to get their legs under them in game action more often than not.

I understand the Giants want to protect Barkley as an example, but the kid has to test his friggain knee out before jumping into regular season action.

Same thing with young quarterbacks. There aren't a lot of catastrophic injuries a quarterback can sustain (ironic since we're Jets fans and Chad...) that is career killing. They recover well in terms of career outlook from mostly everything but rotator cuff problems.

Question. As I don't recall the last time we actually did joint practice with another team.

    (I like it)

Do the normal NYJ media have media access there as well with another team being involved on their turf, do they typically travel and report like they typically would at home?

As I hope to stay informed like we normally would be(ish) with practices here.

Perhaps a dumb question but I legit don't know for sure and I can't find anything on Google? If anyone knows, thanks.

The Jets did this with the Redskins 2 or 3 years ago. I seem to remember something about a fight. I believe the local media does send a couple of reporters out with the team for reports ....

Terrell Pryor I believe was taunted by the Redskins.

Looks like our usual suspects will be there today so that's good!

I am more excited by these 2 practices than the actual game.

The AVT trade makes a lot more sense now. Have to imagine the FO had this information and immediately took him off our draft board.
