I got a hunch we will trade back from #4 spot. It looks like the QB needy teams are starting to covet the QB prospects in this draft. Also with a huge turnover of new head coaches there are a lot of teams who will want “their guy”. Having said that there was speculation that #10 would be the pick that has potential of trading back but I don’t think so. I think it’s #4 overall! The Giants say they are sticking with Jones but with a new coaching staff it could make another team nervous. Carolina is a team that will be looking for a QB for sure. That’s the team that others will fear they need to jump in front of to get their guy. Denver/Washington in my mind are the teams to watch. Denver has a really good D and some nice pieces on offence but lack their QB to compete in their division. I could see them trying to move up for sure. Washington on the flip side are in a division that they can contend for but just need a QB to anchor their team. Which deal would you take if your JD? Denver: #4 Jets: #9 + #75 + 2023 1st Washington: #4 Jets: #11 + #42 + 2023 1st
Totally agree with both the posters above. Also having two picks in row always feels good. Not sure why, but I like it.
The better question is what’s a better deal for Washington: Trading up to #4 Trading up to #3 I think they’d go for the latter
I want two of the Eagles first rounders. Another idea is to swap our two first rounder with the Giants for theirs.
It’s impossible to say anything until FA. The only way teams are moving to 4 for a QB is if Carolina doesn’t trade for a vet and teams are afraid they’ll take the one they want.
Assuming our guy isn't there at #4, I'd take Washington's of the two choices. I hope we can get better than that though. Washington will likely have a higher pick than Denver next year, and #42 is much more valuable than #75.
giants could take a QB at 5 if they fall in love with a prospect. I even seen a mock where the giants traded up to 3 to get a QB so people wouldn't jump them by trading with us. As far as teams who could trade up for a QB, giants, panthers, denver, and washington are all possible. steelers are too but I don't think they move up to 4. 10 is more realistic for them.
The Giants, Panthers, Falcons, Broncos, Commanders, Vikings and Browns all have questionable QB situations to some degree and are picking in the top 13. I think teams who probably not looking at QB seriously would be the Falcons, Vikings, and Browns. As far as the Giants, it seems unlikely from everything we’ve been hearing from them. The most likely QB targeting teams I think will be Panthers, Broncos, and Commanders. But you also need to wait and see if Deshaun Watson, Russell Wilson, or Jordan Love end up at one of those spots. I don’t think Rodgers or Wilson get moved, but Watson could go to the Panthers and Love could go to the Broncos where the coaching staff knows him very well.
It's gonna be real interesting for sure. From what i've heard so far, the steelers really like malik willis and will also look to add a vet QB as well (trubisky). broncos want a vet QB, but that wouldn't stop them from taking a QB either. however if they made a move for rodgers or watson, i'd be suprised if they didn't use their pick on someone to help the team this year giants seem like they are going to lame duck jones and draft a QB next year. I think o-line and edge are their 2 picks browns are going to lame duck mayfield as well. I think their pick is obviously WR commanders I think take a QB for sure same for the panthers I agree, I don't think wilson or rodgers goes anywhere, but I do think watson does. his biggest landing spots would be denver, philly, and carolina. the no trade clause makes it tough though
I really think Love could be in play for Denver. Their new HC was Love’s OC for 2 years in Green Bay, and if they liked him he would be a cheaper “vet” option in a weak QB class.
could be, but IDK if they are going to go all in on love. not after teddy and lock. they probably want someone more proven. they really just need a QB and a watson or rodgers makes them a SB contender
Yes, I think it’s possible. Like I said teams are going to covet the 4th pick to get in front of the giants and most of all the panthers. It was also suspicious that JD announced that we are open for business for the 10th overall pick. That to me means he’s putting a big price tag on 4th overall and that price tag has to include a first next year plus plus
But would Houston? The top 3 I think is pretty set with the exception of Det taking a QB. The KT could slip our way
Davis Mills looked good. They might wait to see with Watson as well. Watson for Tua ++ was on the table before
