I don't believe there will be a lot of interest from other teams to trade up to the #4 overall pick. I won't rule it out entirely, but I will go ahead and say the odds are unlikely.

Having said that, there could be some genuine appeal from other teams to trade up to the #10 overall pick. To me, this is one of the BEST case scenarios for the New York Jets on draft day.

If they are able to slip back to the late teens or even early 20s, they will not only be able to land a difference maker, but also an additional 2nd round pick. The best value in this draft class in my opinion is in the mid/late 1st round and also the 2nd round.

What are your thoughts on a trade back from #4 or #10? I personally think this would be a big time move and would help the Jets to add even more young talent to the squad.

As always, please feel free to check out my video. Appreciate any/all support :D

At 4 I feel KT will be there and the jets will take him. So as you said I highly doubt we move off that pick.

I think a trade back option at 10 is only an option if another team from 5-9 takes the guy JD likes.

That 10 spot could have some really really good players. I think if Treylon Burks or Devin Lloyd or Derek Stingley is there at 10 JD needs to use the pick and not consider trading back.

If those 3 are gone and it’s Linderbaum or Ekwonu sitting there I’d listen to offers and trade back.

If Stingley really had a lis franc injury in his left foot I'd let somebody else take that chance. 90% of those guys come back to play and most of them suffer no statistically significant drop in play however the Jets never get lucky on this type of thing.

First round contracts are fully guaranteed.

That’s exactly what I said in another post the other day. Take KT at 4 and try to trade down from 10 - not too many spots. Try to get two of the Eagles first round picks. I’m just not sure if they really want somebody at 10. If so the Jets may have to throw in a 3rd or a 4th but it would be worth it.

Stay away from Stingley. Even the mocks are starting to drop him lower.

This really seems to be the perfect draft to have three first round picks with the two right in the middle like the Eagles….the Jets would be able to hit the biggest weaknesses talent wise - EDGE, WR, and OL and still have two early seconds for TE and LB. if McBride isn’t there go with Ruckert and I’m pretty sure a guy like Christian Harris might still be there at 38. Harris can hit and he’s fast - covers TEs like a blanket.

Conceptually, trading back from #10 - I too don't think anyone really wants to move up to #4 that badly, but hey, if someone offers a boatload of prime picks, I'd consider it - is probably their best bet. That said, If Burks is still there, I'd have to really consider staying put and taking him. But if someone offered another 1st this year so that we'd have 3 1sts, that would likely be too good to refuse. I might also consider a high 2nd (meaning close to the first round) this year and a 1st in 2023. Of course both these trades would include their current 1st that we'd move back to, just to be clear.

Snagging an elite Edge or T at #4, opens up a lot of wiggle room given the deep WR class and makes moving out of #10 much more palatable.

I agree 100%, I want nothing to do with "Sicknote Stingley" who has only played in 10 games in the last 2 seasons - haven't we learned anything from Dee Miliner?

KT being there at #4 is the best case scenario. That opens the door for Trevor Penning later - that can solve the RT issue for years. RG may be addressed in FA.
