Keep swinging. Eventually we will hit on the right guy. Even if they get Rodgers it’s a one to two year deal.
I think that's highly unlikely. I could potentially see them moving up slightly, 13 to 10ish if a Levis or Richardson is there but I can't see them going all the way up to 1. But IMO, the most likely way we draft a QB this year is if Rodgers, Lamar, and Jimmy G all go elsewhere/stay put and one of the top 4 options falls to them at 13.
If Woody gets his way we may not have a pick to trade up with. Apparently he wants to save money by giving up a better pick.
Cimini and Rosenblatt. This is from Zach’s article If Rodgers did want to join the Jets, they then would have to negotiate a trade with the Packers. It’s believed that the Jets (namely, owner Woody Johnson) don’t want to pay all of the $59.46 million in guaranteed money owed to Rodgers this year. Convincing the Packers to eat some of that money would require greater draft compensation in return — likely, at least, the Jets’ first-round pick. Cimini tweeted something similar this morning. Obviously grain of salt from him but Rosenblatt seems less drama filled so far.
Trading up from 13 to 1? Yikes. If we miss out on Rodgers, it wouldn't surprise me to see Quinnen and a mid pick for Jackson happen. The desperation would be real thick about then.
This is what happens when you fail at life, Woody. All the money in the world means nothing when everyone thinks you're a know-nothing schmuck. This entire thing has Woodrow's handprints on it. That's why it's failing so bad.
No. Trade back a couple spots if the three OTs are still there. Grab an extra 2 or 3 so we can add a C, WR, RB, Edge in first 3 rnds
The Jets are a marvel of physics. A perpetual failure machine. This is what we can power a ship to Mars with. Somebody call Elon.
