QB WR WR WR RB RB TE K DEF That's the starting lineup My team is QB Hasselbeck QB Roethlisberger RB Jacobs RB Larry Johnson RB Selvin Young RB Travis Henry RB Kolby Smith RB Ron Dayne WR TJ Houshmandzadeh WR Chad Johnson WR Andre Johnson WR Braylon Edwards TE Antonio Gates K Shayne Graham DEF New England I'm trying to trade Chad Johnson for a more stable RB since none of mine are close to stable at this point. However, I just got offered Clinton Portis for TJ Houshmandzadeh. Should I pull the trigger?
You have no choice but to pull the trigger with your situation. I say do it. Edwards and the Johnson brothers can hopefully carry the load for ya. Portis upgrades the RB's enough to make the deal. Start Jacobs and Portis.
Housh is Palmer's #1 target...it's tough to get rid of him. However, that said... I'd consider the trade but I'd first counter offer, C. Johnson and Dayne for Portis to see if he bites, if he doesn't then I'd consider Housh for Portis. If you do Housh for Portis, then... Andre Johnson is back and so is Shaub, he should get rolling. Braylon Edwards should be your #2 WR...leaving 85 a flex option...a strong receiving core plus you add strength at RB.
CJ and Dayne is the deal I keep offering people for RBs. I'm thinking of countering, but I don't want to lose the option.
Id do it, my gut instinct is that Housh is about to get all the attention from the secondary and CJ will start to pad his stats in a very sub par season, to help save some face If you must know, my last instinct was to trade AP away ( because I thought he would either decline, or get hurt) for a Terrell Owens who was waiting to break out...Owens has 8 TDs in the last 3 weeks, to AP's one supergame, and a sub-par game, and now hes injured...8 TDs vs 3 TDs....I won
