i know we've talked about this before, but i really think we should explore a trade for "ocho cinco". the bengals were interested in d-rob, so why could'nt we package something? imagine us trading for johnson, then getting dmac, at #6!! holy shit!!! okay, i've calmed down, now you guys can kill me.
He has one of the Top-Tier QBs in the NFL throwing to him...Why would he want either of these 2 throwing to him?
he's been very outspoken about wanting to be traded. he's a publicity hound. so what better place to go then the media capitol of the world? we are a team that is on the rise, so you can't tell me we won't be competitive enough to keep him happy.put him with our new offensive line, jones and maybe dmac, coles, cotch, baker, franks, and washington! thats a pretty potent offense, that can improve any QB'S productivity.
i think we had enough with trades and free agents..i want to do the rest thru the draft...i hate when teams get all the super stars ( like the celtics)...i think the giants is a good example they built a team pretty much thru the draft..
Since D-rob failed his physical, what else do we have to offer? Maybe if we could have sent Vilma in that direction but now I don't know.
After watching his interview on ESPN today, I don't want anything to do with Chad Johnson. He may have been a team player earlier in his career, but he is starting to resemble TO more and more these days.
how about we trade DRob and LColes to them for Ocho Cinco and some picks and They get back a tier 1 WR and DT they wanted
I agree, but I have a different reason to boot - I'll never support someone like Chad Johnson, who beat the hell out of his girlfriend, avoided (mostly) penalty, and then signed his multi-million dollar NFL contract. That's not a guy I ever want to be in a position of rooting for.
Cause Johnson will probably hold out in '09 if we miss playoffs and demand a trade we will get crap for him. Like TO.
this guy is the definition of a selfish player he won't go over the middle anymore and has become predictable and mediocre as a result
In junior college. Santa Monica Ju Co, where he was teammates with Steve Smith. Now, I'm sure some will mention how that was a generation ago, and that people shouldn't have to pay forever for sins of their youth. I'd agree. The problem is, he never paid. He was granted a scholarship from Oregon State, fled California, and avoided prosecution. Two years later, when he figured out that in the NFL he'd have to travel back to California with warrants outstanding, he finally went back to face the charges. By then, the victim, the police, and everyone else had moved on, and he did a little community service - right before he signed his seven-figure contract guilt free.
Well doubt that will happen as don't The Jets need to pay big bucks for Johnson To come and play for them.
He also went nuts at halftime of the playoff game against the Steelers in 2007 - I think he even punched a coach - because he wasn't getting the ball enough. I want no part of TO Jr.
http://www.nfl.com/ I used to like this guy...but it seems like he has become a HUGE ego over the years. No way I want this guy on the Jets.
