Hey guys, In a Yahoo! league (12 teams, normal scoring) this is my team: QB: Favre, Warner WR: Wayne, Holmes, Driver, Kevin Curtis RB: MB3, Edge James, DMC, Fargas, Fred Taylor We start 1 QB, 3 WR, and 2 RB. Would you pull the trigger on a trade of Favre and Edge for Marshall?
I'm trying to get him to agree to a trade for Marshall and Ryan Grant. I am offering Warner, Driver, and James.
I wouldn't do it, as much as I love Brandon Marshall, you'll be relying on Warner at QB and he is an injury waiting to happen also Edge seems to be coming on strong in a good offense. If I was you I would try to talk him into taking Warner instead of Favre.
Abso-freakin-lutely, but try to give Warner instead of Favre. You can handcuff Warner with Leinart, but I don't trust Leinart. What QBs are available in FA? Either way, do this deal, and worry about the rest of it later.
Update: I just traded Favre, Edge, and Donald Driver for Marshall and Ryan Grant. How do you guys think I did? I will slot Warner into the starting lineup at QB. I will pick up another qb to backup Warner. Derek Anderson, Marc Bulger, Kyle Orton, Matt Ryan, Pennington, Russell, Cassel, Kerry Collins are all available.
Definitely Orton (though monitor Anderson Monday). Leave the rest of the trash on the waiver wire unless one asserts himself as a quality backup fantasy QB. Pennington is the most consistent option out of the rest, but his upside is too limited to really hold on to. If you want to grab one anyway, look at Arizona's bye week and pick whoever has the best matchup that week.
