Hey- Didn't see one of these- thought this could be an ongoing thread. Anyway, I was offered a deal. It's a 2QB, 2 RB, 4 WR, 1 TE, 1 D/ST, 1K standard scoring league. I was offered CJ Spiller for Phillip Rivers and Justin Blackmon. I have Rodgers and Brees as my top 2 QBs, so realistically I wouldn't play Rivers much. My RBs are Trent Richardson, David Wilson, Gio Bernard, Steven Jackson and Bilal Powell (rough, I know). My WRs are Wes Welker, Kenbrell Thompkins, Eddie Royal, Tavon Austin, Antonio Brown, TY Hilton, and DeAndre Hopkins. I think it would be a good idea to sell high on both Rivers and Blackmon, but at the same time, my WR corps is extremely inconsistent. If Blackmon becomes a consistent contributor, I wouldn't want to deal him. Thoughts?
This is my current team: QB - Vick WR - Cruz WR - Fitzgerald WR - Boldin RB - McCoy RB - T. Richardson TE - Cameron BN - R. Wilson, Lacy, B. Brown, Wallace, Edelman, G. Tate Should I do this deal: Trade Fitzgerald and Richardson for Demaryius Thomas and McFadden? I'm hesitant.
Trent will be better as season develops and he gets used to the system, and Demaryius its not a always go to in denver my opinion no trade. I have trent in two on my leagues
Got offered a trade that intrigues me. What do you guys think, should I accept? (me) Steven Ridley Rob Gronkowski for Maurice Jones-Drew Cam Newton I've kept Gronk stashed all year, and it's hurt my depth but I figured I'd wait it out until he gets healthy. TEs, especially Gronkowski-type TEs can win you leagues. But I'm getting tired of his shenanigans, and maybe he won't do much once he comes back. Newton has boom factor that intrigues me and both him and MJD will be playing hard until the end - no sitting for the playoffs for them What do you guys think?
Pull the trigger. You're looking at 25 pts between Ridley and Gronk to 35-40 between cam and mjd, per game
Is Newton really that much of an upgrade over what you have at QB now? Billy B doesn't rest guys for the playoffs, so that isn't a factor.
I'm pretty conservative when it comes to trades, but I wouldn't. I don't think Cam is going to be THAT big of an upgrade over Brady- and as you said, if Gronk does come back, he'll win you games single-handedly. I was recently proposed Alfred Morris and Danny Amendola (so pretty much Alfred Morris) for Bilal Powell and TY Hilton. It's a 2 HB 4 WR league (no flex) and my players are: HB: Trent Richardson, David Wilson, Steven Jackson, Bilal Powell, Giovani Bernard WR: Wes Welker, Justin Blackmon, TY Hilton, Tavon Austin, Kenbrell Thompkins, Keenan Allen, Antonio Brown, DeAndre Hopkins Do I do it?
Jesus you have a lot of Pats lol...but yeah Brady becomes a lot better if Gronk ever decides to play and can stay on the field a few weeks.
stick with Brady even though he's a queer. I'd probably do it. Its pretty fair. don't wanna let TY go but he's a hot/cold guy. Probably have a big game vs Denver so wait to trade him after that. If your other wideouts stop producing later on you can trade for one with your rb depth.
Why make that trade? Powell should get a lot more playing time with Goodson out for the year, and he has the higher upside by far. Powell is also doing good this season. I think he'll have a great game against the Pats this week. Plus, it's a non-ppr league. I'd keep Powell.
