My league starts 2WRs, 1TE, and our flex can be any position including QB (it is unlikely that I would flex a WR or TE). My league has 1 point per reception:

I put my TEs on the trading block and have been offered Bowe for Jason Whitten straight up.

I think I should counter with Finley for Bowe but want opinions.

I could try to ask for Lloyd instead of Bowe but think Bowe is the better option (I don't see him giving up Jackson for a TE).

Another team offered my Pierre Garcon and Doug Baldwin for either Witten or Finley but I don't think Garcon is worth as much as Bowe or Lloyd.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Here are my TEs and WRs:
    Witten, Jason TE DAL
    Finley, Jermichael TE GB
    Keller, Dustin TE NYJ
    Gresham, Jermaine TE CIN
    Stevie Johnson WR BUF
    Malcolm Floyd WR SD
    Brandon Gibson WR STL

Here are his TEs and WRs:
    Dallas Clark TE IND
    Brandon Pettigrew TE DET
    DeSean Jackson WR PHI
    Dwayne Bowe WR KC
    Brandon Lloyd WR DEN
    Antonio Brown WR PIT
    Mike Sims Walker WR STL

Did you mistype and this is a 2 TE starting league? he has Clark and Pettigrew, even with Manning out that is plenty good enough for a 1 TE league.
Anyway if it is a 1 TE league, I'd trade either for Lloyd, I trust him more than Bowe. Especially since Denver is going to be behind and can't run.

Our league has a lot of bench spots and most teams are thin at TE (1 or 2 tops).

    I drafted Finley and Witten.

I only picked up two TEs on waivers (Keller and Gresham) so that I would have a backup when I trade either Finley or Witten for a WR (I am very weak at WR).

When I put in the waivers last night I had no way of knowing that I would get both Keller and Gresham.

After the trade goes through I may cut Gresham loose but I don't really have any other needs once I get a #1 or # 2 WR from this deal.

I have no intention of keeping 4 TEs but I don't want to give up Witten for nothing either.

Anyone have feedback regarding the potential trade?

You are right he doesn't need a TE that badly but it is clearly important to him because Clark was the first TE off the board when it looked like Manning would be back in week 2.

Right now he is starting Lloyd as his WR2 and Pettigrew as his TE. He clearly doesn't trust Bowe or Clark after their showing in week one.

I told him that Finley and Keller had the same bye week and asked him how he feels about Finley instead of Witten. If he goes for Finley I will probably accept Bowe. If he insists on Witten I might push for Lloyd.

    Thanks for the input.

Right now my # 1 WR is Stevie Johnson and my # 2 WR is Malcolm Floyd.

Either guy would help my receiving core.

The only question is should I care which one I get when I give up one of the top 5 TEs in the game in return?

I had the first pick in a 12 team draft. Drafting two tight ends was a value move that I gambled would get me a WR that wasn't available when Finley was picked.

I took Witten and Felix Jones at 4.12 and 5.01.

When I was up at 6.12 and 7.01 Finley was still there so I took Finley and Stevie Johnson.

Bowe went at 4.07 and Lloyd went at 6.07.

If I do end up with Bowe then drafting both tight ends would have been the smart move (assuming Bowe lives up to his draft position). Of course, I could have taken Lloyd instead of Witten.

If Wes Welker hadn't been taken at 4.11 I probably wouldn't have taken Witten and having Finley drop to me later would have been a great value pick.
