No one started this yet, so I am.

I like what Hughes is throwing. It just isn't working so far.

Is Jeter in the lineup because I just saw that Cairo is playing SS. Torre said that Jeter was playing like 2 hours ago.

Hughes has showed some impressive goods. his Fastball, changeup, and curve are all pretty good. he had some control things in the first inning. Hopefully he settles down in the second.

Batting Mientkiewicz second has to be one of the most stupid moves this year by Torre. I like Torre but that is just a horrible idea.

I'm sure he is being coddled, as usual. Afterall, he has a thigh bruise. Besides, we can afford to fall a few more games back. Torre is worrying about October.

I see Abreu made the last out of the inning for about the 100th time this season. Always great to have Arod leading off. Torre should just bat Arod 1st. He leads off more then Damon does anyway.

a nice 1-2-3 inning for Phil.

Jason Smith - Strike Out Swinging
Jason Phillips - Strike Out Swinging
Josh McDonald - Ground out to second (4-3)

Yeah. batting him second is probably the worse move of his questionable season thus far.

The only reason i can think for Minky hitting second is that he is, for the most part, a contact hitter. He has a low strike-out total, he just doesnt get on

Perfect reason for Torre to bat him second. Never gets on base

I wonder what the record is for making the last out of an inning in a season...Abreu is going to smash it...Torre will break the record for stupid managing decisions during a season for keeping him batting third..so Arod will lead off for the second time in 4 innings

Hughes has really looked good after a rough first inning. His stuff is nasty and I really hope we keep him up in the majors for a little while.

Yeah, he's doing fine. Toronto is no slouch team. Just hope we give him some support. Arod has the only hit so far.

I find myself hoping Mientkiewicz gets thrown out of the game for arguing that call
