AS wel all know, this is probably the longest offseason in the history of the NFL. So to pass some time, I would like to hear your OPNIONS on who you think the top 5 OFFENSES are in the AFC. Remember this is just based on opnions. Here is my top 5.

    1. Colts
    2. Ravens
    3. Chargers
    4. Steelers
    5. Texans

    Honorable mention.....
    Patriots, Beagals, Titans.

    Bungals
    Titans
    Texans
    Colts
    Jets

No particular order, but I'd rank the Colts near the bottom of the top 5.

You could be right about them but it is seriously wierd to think of the Ravens as a high Octane offense when they have been so focused on defense in the last decade.

The Steelers on the other hand just won't be in the top 5.

Do the rankings above take player height into consideration?

1- Colts: Untill someone else proves otherwise they are the cream of he AFC crop. A deep receiving core gets better this year with a healthy Gonzalez. Best team on 3rd down in the AFC.

2- Pats: Were tops in the AFC in scoring and yards in what looked like an Off year. If any team can overcome losing welker this team is it.

3- Texans: The passing game was huge last year. They need some rushing to back it up. A rebound by Slaton or good rookie year by Tate will help alot.

4- Chargers: Would most likely be higher if I was sure Jackson and McNiel were not going to hold out. Grade A passing game and could have a running game again with Matthews, unless LT's complaints about the line hold true.

5- Ravens: From all looks things have rounded out for them this year. Still have a top end rushing attack, and a very deep receiving core to match it. Flaco needs to break out this year because the defense is getting long in the tooth.

HM- Jets: similar to the Ravens with a young QB leading a very talented unit. If Sanchez continues to progress like he did at the end of last year this group could fly up the board.

HM- Phins: Miami should have a better passign attack to go with a very good power running game. Ronnie's health and Ricky's ability to go again at 34 are big questions though. The reciving core got much better with the addiditon of Marshall but is not as deep as the Jets of Ravens. Henne is going to be a very good QB in the NFL for a very long time.

HM- Titans: Vince young was 8-2 as a starter last year and the have the top running back in the NFL. This could be a scary unit in the near future if Young does not regress again.

Indy - With Peyton Manning leading your offense then your always a threat to put points on the board when the offense is on the field.

Texans - They may not play like it but if you go off statistics the Texans have a nice offense. Andre Johnson is the best wr in football and when the running game is going it's a dangerous offense. I'd put them in the top 5 of the AFC.

Ravens - Ray Rice is a dangerous back, he proved it last year. He can bust a big run on you and he can catch outta the backfield. With the addition of Boldin this offense got that much better. Flacco is coming into his own and they have depth at wr.

Jets - Braylon Edwards, Santonio Holmes, Cotchery and Keller. That as good as a corps as you will find on any other team in the NFL. Throw in the offensive line's skills and running style of Shonn Greene and this team could easily compete with the best of em. As long as Sanchez keeps his mistakes down to a minimum I don't see how they don't put up twice as many points as they did last season.

Chargers - Only if Vincent Jackson stays does this team make the top 5. Phillip Rivers can be an elite QB when he wants to be. Jackson has the stats to show he is a #1 wr. Antonio Gates is always a threat and so is Sproles. If Ryan Matthews can play to his potential then this team should easily win the West again this year.

That's my top 5 in no particular order.

There's no way I put them in the top 5 but the Raiders O is gonna totally shock some people this year.

Maybe not with any real consistentcy but mark my words some team will get caught looking past Campbell and get absolutely punked in the Black Hole.

    Glad we don't play them...

See...I did have you pegged correctly...no respect for the Jets.

Seriously, I have no idea how you could even mention the Bengals...even as an honorable mention. They were truly exposed.

I do not see the Steelers being a top 5..and I doubt the Ravens.

Colts, Texans, Chargers, Patriots and Titans are good picks. I would easily add the Jets.

I think that the Ravens will really open it up this year with the Boldin signing.

I agree, Boldin and Stallworth added to a team that could already run like that is scary. Flaco is the big Question there, but has all the tools.

It's not a matter of respect man. Cincy added Bryant and Shipley. I really think the will have a good Passing game.

It's not that I dont think your offense will be good, notice that I didnt put Miami on there either even with the powerful running game, and the Marshall signing.

Totally agree! The key to that offense is going to be the consistancy of Flacco.

Cincy I don't like as a top offense. The finished below both the Jets and Phins in Scoring and yards last season and did not add as good of players as the Jets, Phins, or Ravens did. They were a bottom half offense in the AFC last year and may very well end up there again.

The Bengals were exposed last year when we played them, if not in week 17 then in the Wild Card round. I remember Benson having a decent game but that was it, we disrupted Carson and the entire passing game. If other teams can follow that blueprint then they will not look like a top 5 offensive team.
