Title Says it all ... ill start off with my List: 1. Curtis "My Favorite" Martin 2. Wayne "Cri-Bit" Chrebet 3. Joe "Willy" Namath 4. Richie Anderson 5. Kevin Mawae
Joe Namath Wesley Walker Joe Klecko Curtis Martin Vinny Testeverde Keyshawn Johnson Yeah, that's six. I've been a fan for a long time and couldn't eliminate any of these guys.
Tough Question: 1- Victor Green - what better name and type of player for Gang Green? 2- David Knight - the best hands I've ever seen, if not for a weak team and knee injury he could have been our version of Fred Belitnikoff 3- Bryan Cox - sure I know a controversial pick, but when he became a Jet he added the fire we needed to compete for a Championship, and I loved his toughness and Moxie! 4- Lance Mehl - the complete opposite of Cox, quiet and smart, and was underrated by the rest of the league because he played for the Jets. Was Pro Bowl caliber LB. 5 - Matt Robinson - he had "IT" whatever "IT" is. Could have been the Next Joe Willie - was so exciting to watch. The Denver game was the best!
Curtis Martin Keyshawn Johnson Aaron Glenn Jonathan Vilma Mo Lewis Now since i'm only 19, I can't really say a Namath, Walker, Toon, Sack-Exchange, etc. since I didn't see them. Still doesn't take away the fact that I respect them very much, reading and watching whatever video clips of them I can see. And for sure sport a Wesley Walker throwback.
From my 20 years as a Jet fan, I'd go with: 1. Al Toon - Could have been the second best receiver of all time if not for the concussions. 2. Aaron Glenn - Greatest Shut-down corner I've ever seen. 3. Curtis Martin - Pure class and helped Parcell's re-invigorate the franchise. 4. Ken O'Brien - The QB when I first started watching the Jets, great skills, no protection. 5. Mo Lewis - In his prime he really was something special, also was our best player during the bad years. Parcells was my favourite Coach, while Namath(after watching the highlights of Superbowl 3 a few years ago) is obviously the greatest Jet of all-time.
Ken O'Brien - he was great when I started watching the Jets - shortly afterwards he taught me what being a Jets fan is really about... Al Toon - a player the rest of the league genuinely feared, and that hasn't happened often while I've been watching the Jets. Jeff Lageman - I started liking him just to spite Mel Kiper, then he developed into a really tough defensive end with an insane motor. I hated to see him leave. Wayne Chrebet - The TD catch in Tampa, the two TDs to beat the Pats earlier that year, there are just too many great plays to mention. The heart and soul of the Jets for years. Vinny - the Jets have seldom been so much fun to watch as when Vinny was in his prime. He gave us a sublime season in 1998 and a heart-rending rollercoaster in 2000, then Hackett put the manacles on him.
Curtis "My Favorite" Martin Wayne "Rasberry" Chrebet Richie Anderson Vinny Testmylastnervy And the comeback kid Chad Pennington Basically, players who do there job & love the game
Walker - The best one-eyed WR ever. Toon - Would have broken every record in the books if not for injury. Chrebet - The toughest little SOB I've ever seen. An inspiration. Martin - Class, class, class. Klecko - Best all around DL ever. Period.
