I have to disagree with the Falcons going McFadden... they're pretty well off with a 1-2 of Dunn and Jerious Norwood... Otherwise... the board looks pretty solid to me...
I'm glad you posted Ellis going #1, I think that if he outperforms Dorsey and C. Long at the Combine the Dolphins will take a look at him.
What is it w/these guys from Troy St.? Osi Umenyora was from Troy St. DeMarcus Ware from Troy St. and now this guy Leodis McKelvin in this years top 10 from Troy St.
Norwood is good, but I think, if they stay in that spot, they're taking McFadden. Dunn is old and coming off one of his worst professional seasons. Post-Vick, McFadden might be the best business decision they could ever make. I don't believe that any of the quarterbacks in this draft are particularly exciting, and the Falcons need to make a big splash. Smith is a guy who favors a physical style similar to what they do in Jacksonville, and that means run, run, run. Norwood averaged something like 7 carries a game this year. I don't think they're going to commit to that as a long term solution. Moreover, any quarterback they take or acquire is going to need a stable running game, because it's either going to be a crummy veteran or an inexperienced rookie thrown to the wolves. -X-
