It's been a fun ride, so far. It keeps telling me I don't have flash, but here's the link. Sorry if it's been posted previously. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-count...Top-10-Jets-plays-of-2010?module=HP_headlines
We've made way too many big time plays for a hands down top 10 list, but without clicking the link, I'll try my best to come up with a top 10. (in no specific order) N) Sanchez to Holmes slant play that beat the Lions. E) Sanchez to Holmes to beat the Browns with the slant. W) Jason Taylor tackle in the endzone for a safety against Pittsburgh. Y) Sanchez bomb to Braylon Edwards followed by the crazy Santonio TD catch against the Texans. O) Deep bomb to Holmes that drew the PI call against the Broncos to win the game. R) Amazing TD catch by Holmes against the Pats last week. K) The Brad Smith return against INDY with 50 seconds left down 2 during the 4th. J) Perfect pass & catch from Sanchez to Edwards that set up our chip shot FG against Indy. E) Jerricho Cotchery's catch & RUN last week vs NE. T) David Harris INT vs Brady last week. No points were scored, but that was an impact game that changed the entire game. S) Folk FG that beat the Colts with 0:00 left on the clock. No longer a "SOJ" miss.
I've been bleeding green since 94-95, and this has been by far, the greatest Jets season I've ever witnessed. 1998 was special under Parcells & Broadway Vinny, but this year has been magical. From the Hard Knocks series, to getting Revis locked up long term, to watching Sanchez develope into a franchise QB, to watching L.T play in green & white, all the way to beating the Colts & Patriots (two future HOF QB's) during the playoffs. It's been amazing.
Holmes catch in Cleveland was nice but it was hardly the best play His catch last week for the td shoulda been number one I'm also stunned smiths pass to Keller in buffalo wasn't on their
Our wide outs complement each other so well. In the beginning of the year I wanted to only to sign 1 between Edwards and Holmes, not I think it's just as important as the Harris contract that we keep both. Holmes catch against NE should have been #1 by far, it's one of the best TD catches I've ever seen by a Jet.
How could the throw by Sanchez in the Texans game not be listed? The deep throw as well as the TD pass to Holmes were unreal.
It's interesting which plays they chose for top 10. Some plays I would've added: - Braylon catch against Texans (right before Holmes TD). - Opening KO return against steelers. The Jets were really struggling & just lost against a terrible Dolphins team. That opening return just seemed to turn away the carry-over drama from the previous two losses. - The Cotchery catch has to include all of the scrambling Sanchez was doing & pointing the way for Cotchery. - I'm assuming Pats/Jets playoff game is too late to add to their video. - Some others but Basically, NFL compilation kinda sucks. They play the highlights & their narration gives the impression like they don't give a damn about what they're talking about. Even as a Jets fan, I find their compilation boring.
Is the link by the OP and the video a few posts below different? I looked at the video below, and there were playoff plays and the TD Holmes had against Houston.
The Texans combo is easily number 1. The way it happened and the time needed with no timeouts was friggin incredible. To be their to witness it made it even more incredible.
2 Plays in the first Steelers game, the KO return and the Sanchez naked bootleg TDs, what a shame those didn't make it. And LT's 26yd TD run, juking Posluszny out of his cleats in week 4, that was hilarious. http://www.nfl.com/videos/new-york-jets/09000d5d81b0a1d3/RB-Tomlinson-26-yd-run-TD
i'm glad they included cotchery's 3rd down catch against cleveland when he pulled his groin and still made the diving catch. that was f'ing amazing.
