A whole bunch of positive nothings. That's fine. I wouldn't expect more or less.

Now let's see if Sparano can pull what Rex pulled with the departure of Mangini - on the offensive side of the ball, after Schottenheimer departure. I really think, with exception of WFH, the entire offensive crew under-performed for years now. Now if the RT can be fixed somehow...

Perhaps a vast simplification of the whole offense can make things easier and better. But just as they say they want things simplified, they bring in Tebow and say there will be two offenses. So are two simplified offenses easier to learn than one screwy one? I dunno. My optimism for Sparano comes and goes, comes and goes.

Trying to be optimistic here, but we threw the ball more last year. We also rushed the ball a tremendously lower amount of times. I am not trying to be a homer on Hunter, but the running game will help him. If the DE is overly agressive we can rush inside him, and if the DE is looking run they won't get the same jump of the ball.

I am pretty sure he implemented a running style unprecedented for decades in the NFL, and teams are still trying to implement it into their schemes. I am pretty sure he coached his sub par team to the playoffs with no offensive stars. I am pretty sure he got the most out of his players every year.

Your right get this guy out of town!!!!

Generally, when a team is calling on Parcells to come in a rebuild them, the team is screwed up big time. And that's what Miami was. Sparano did get the team going with Pennington. But then the team was then sold and everything started falling apart again. I'm not sure you can be a great coach without a support system. When the front office and ownership is in flux, few teams are good.

5th-in-the-league bad? (That was the offensive stats for Cowboys when Sparano was calling the shots as OC.) I'll take that any day of the week - especially after the train wreck that is Schottenheimer offense.

You just don't know how disastrous Schottenheimer was. If you think Cam Cam was bad, take it up a notch, and that still won't be enough to get to the suckiness that is Brian Schottenheimer.

Wade Phillips wasn't a good Head Coach but he's a phenomenal DC. Not saying Sparano is going to be a great OC (although I hope he is) but its not out of the ordinary for coaches to excel at a coordinator position but be poorly suited for a HC job.

Mangini had one year experience as DC. And he watched illegal footage of illegal tapes and called defensive formations based upon that. I can't see that its related.

Only if Hunter is a better run blocker than he is a pass blocker. Most teams run more to the right than the left.
