I was just surfing the NFL page when I noticed Tom Brady hasn't been to a single practice... Of course Belichick won't say shit, but does anyone have an idea why he's not at camp?
He's the new Carmen Sandiego. Where in the world is Tom Brady? http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2535669
That's Matt Leinart. The only virus Brady has is on his computer from all the porn he is looking at..
Classic. He's missed the last 3. He was at the first two and has already returned today. Way to pass on misinformation. Also, I would love to see a link for an article that states he hasn't been to a practice yet. .... waiting.
Yeah, but it is speculation. Belichick is famous for not letting guys even walk onto the practice field if they can't particiapate. They can stay inside and do film, etc.. Most guys that fall into this catagory have tweaked hammy, sprained ankles and the like. Usually stuff that makes them miss a week. Belichick has his now infamous "conditioning run" that every player must pass to participate in TC, and you'll notice that wastes like Jonathan Sullivan have yet to practice because they haven't passed the run. But, my suspiciaion, and that of most writers, is that Belichick is holding Brady back, same as last year's TC, from everyday practices. He threw a ton last year andther previous year, and he knows what he has in Brady, so as long as he gets in enough reps, there is no reason to wear him down in TC by making him practice all the time. Belichick did the same with Branch last year as well as Brady, but this year, obviously, Branch is out for different reasons.
Interesting, thanks. It sure seems like Mangini has brought along much of Belichicks style with him....
Of all the useless things I have in this world, a rock-solid source for all things Tom Brady is one of them. I just can't go to it here because of how quiet they've kept this one. The Bush administration should do as well with plugging leaks. My bet is that this has more to do with your second string quarterback, Cassell. Since this is the fundamentals and conditioning part of camp for ALL teams, if you're going to give the kid some unimpeded time with the first string to test him out, this would be the time to do it. You also don't have all your receivers around yet, so it's not the best time for Brady to work on his own timing. He's knows the offense cold. He's already conditioned. This was a great opportunity to let the kid take over for a few days. Chances are good he'll be needed this season. Just a theory. . . or sumthin'.
