No Bell. No Jamal. No O-Line. No chance at playoffs.

But we've got ourselves a Franchise QB. These less than ideal situations as only a 2nd year QB will become a thing of the past once this kids got an O-Line in front of him he's special my favorite Jets QB since Chad Pennington.

Today is Darnold day. He's going light it up today.

Sam Darnold with back to back 4th quarter game winning drives (on Sam Darnold day) and out performed the old vet Fitzpatrick on this day.

    No Bell?
    No Adams?
    No O-Line?
    No playoffs?

    For Sam Darnold? No problem.

Now 4-1 during his last 5 games; we've got ourselves a special kid QB moving forward.

He actually played like dogshit today. Very discouraging.

The makeup call by the refs at the end shouldn’t fool anyone.

He didn't play amazing but he got absolutely no help from any of his WRs. They dropped 5 or 6 balls.

Hard to say at this point if he is the long tern solution. There are certainly glimpses of what can be a special player, but also lapses in judgement that I hope are him being a second year QB learning a second offense with very little talent at the HC/OC positions...

He made some good throws and bad throws. Some dros Drops by the WR's. But Finally beat the Fins and won a close game. Sometimes it's not flashy and you have to do just enough to win.

And he, in turn, missed out on 3 TD passes by missing a wide-open WR.

He's a below average starter who can still become an above average starter. Would be helpful if the Jets could put a competent team and coaching staff around him.

I can't remember him staring down targets as much last year, can somebody with a better memory confirm either way?

"Dogshit" is a ridiculous assessment of his play today. Even with all the drops, he played a fairly average game. Good enough to win, which they did. One terrible pass with the interception, and a few misses.

He left a million yards on the field today. This isn’t a good offense. You have to take what the defense gives you, especially when you’re in a cripple fight with a team like the dolphins. If the refs didn’t bail the jets out at the end people would be crucifying Sam. Rightly so.

    He's 22 years old.

If he's still playing at this level when he's 24 or 25 I'll be concerned.

In a perfect world he would've hit the ground running and he'd be winning POTY, league MVP from day 1 but it wasn't meant to be.

Unlike some I don't believe in blaming other people for a person's problems. He sucked today he missed open receivers, the tv guys pointed out several times how he had ____ open but didn't see him.

He needs to see the field better. He needs to hit open receivers.

We'll see where he's at in two or three years.

just how many times today he was locked up on one receiver while another one was wide open...

Let's put it this way. If Darnold plays the way he did today in Baltimore this Thursday, it's gonna be Ghosts Game 2.0.

"Dog shit" is probably a little harsh, but he wasn't encouraging. Made some bad decisions, and executions down the stretch that could've easily cost them. He's 22 and learning so I'm willing to give him some slack, but he definitely needs to step it up and learn from these mistakes.

I don't think today was Sam's best day. He had a lot more time to throw than he has had in quite some time and he missed some opportunities But he played well enough. His stats might not show it but I thought he played a lot better last week against the Bengals under a lot of duress. I like the progress he is making but next week will be a real challenge for him.
