Question is, why? It's TO. Everyone knows what he can and can't do. Either you're desperate for a receiver and you think your coach can control or at least tolerate the fact that he's a fucking mentalist, or you're not and/or you don't. I don't know what watching him run a few routes, catch a few patsy balls and perform a few agility tests is going to prove to anyone.
I thought his injury was an overdose? Does he actually have an injury somewhere other than in his head?
lol hes coming off a Torn ACL. guess he had some gene therapy with stem cells and was back running and stuff within 6 weeks or at least thats what i remember hearing
ProFootballWkly Pro Football Weekly Well it looks like somebody was impressed by T.O.'s workout yesterday. The veteran WR was offered a contract by the AFL's Chicago Rush.
I think that it's silly that no team will take a chance on T.O. He had a very good season for the Bengals last year, so if he's recovered from the knee injury he can still bring value to the table. A physical receiver like Owens can really help you out, especially in the new NFL where it's illegal to touch receivers. Plus, despite being a world class asshole, T.O. always shows up for big games.
I agree. There are several teams that could use a player like him. And honestly, it's week 8, TO is probably getting a little desperate, how big of a locker room cancer can he make himself at this point? He's worth a shot to a team that needs a WR and wants to sell more tickets.
The Chicago Rush (Arena League) wants to sign him. They've extended a contract offer. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/10/26/arena-league-team-wants-terrell-owens/ Heard that Drew Rosenhaus already called the notion ridiculous.
I've always thought that the "locker room cancer" label was a little overrated. I think of T.O. like Manny Ramirez: yeah, he might be an asshole, but if he plays his best in the most important games then how badly can he really hurt your team? At the end of the day, wouldn't you prefer a jerk who can drag you to a championship than a nice guy with way less talent?
but when has he?he had the great game in the super bowl but was out for the playoff run to get there.the eagles didn't need him to get there and lost with him.then he through his teammate under the bus.
Yes, that's it. TO is the reason the Eagles lost the SB. I now live in Philadelphia and even Eagles fans know that the reason they lost that SB was McNabb's ineptitude at the end of the game.
