1. hang in there. this game just proves that when you play great defense, you can get outplayed and stay in the game. we were horrible the first half and the game easily could have gotten out of hand like the 3 other games this weekend, but our defense was the difference. 2. run shonn more. he has a better burst at the hole. TJ looked slow to me (ankle?). that said, he missed a block on that sack that sanchez took. TJ should be in on those situations for sure. 3. bring something completely new for manning. third level, triple-a-gap blitzes, overload and back off, 6 man blitzes off dime or quarter, whatever works. rhodes blitzed like the rhodes of old, so he would be very useful here. the key is he needs to be overthinking. if manning recognizes stuff, he's hard to beat. that said, we finally have our secondary completely healthy and it showed today. strickland, shepphard, lowery are all good enough to be #2 corners. this should help a lot against the colts passing game. 4. run inside. this is a really fast defense, but not particularly big. we need to blow them off the ball for 6 yards on 1st down. this sets up the counter and play action. but hey, if the run is working, we're good.
