"Give ____ a ton of credit, they did a heck of a job" Saw this on JI But have personally felt this way for awhile now. Ray Lucas is right..he doesn't respect Tebow. Frustrating night.
Good thread. Rex should have said "fuck that Jesus-lovin' faggot" and carved a pentagram into Schotty's chest.
bottom line: starting with 5 minutes left and a 3 point lead: missed tackle on goal line for a possible safety, followed by what seemed like a dozen missed tackles down the filed as denver moved the ball. where is this defensive coaching staff great rep when at lest half the guys they put on the field cannot properly execute tackling? especilly since they knew the qb of dnver was going to run the ball! the eric smith loss of contain on the last play was just the cheery on the sundae.......
yes...yes..it was. Smith played an awful game and not to mention Jim missed the tackle at the 1? Maybe a safety? He took an awful route. Just plain bad.
Despite the field position, the defense was put in a tough spot when the Broncos were given the ball only needing a field goal b/c of our pathetic offense. They stopped the Broncos the entire game, they were bound to crack somewhere. For the first time the Broncos unleashed the empty backfield and had Tebow taking advantage of it.
I have said the same thing before its becoming like a catchphrase for him and one we are likely to hear several times this season
Trash talking after a loss? What's the point. Who cares if Rex "respects" Tebow?? You just lost and watched your playoff hopes go down the drain. What does comparing Tebow to Brad Smith matter?? Seriously. Especially when your highly-touted USC pedigree QB is PATHETIC. Is Sanchez better than Tebow?? Seriously, it's debatable. How many games has Tebow blown in his career? One. Sanchez...? countless. The bottom line is that when it comes to respect, Rex can't be taking seriously. He never respects any team, doesn't respect fans and when you're losing ....you just look dumb doing it. P.S. I LOVE JESUS.
I'm tired of him absolving the defense for giving it up in the clutch. When someone brought up the D going 95 yards at the end of the game, Rex cut the guy off and said 'we gave up 220 for the game'. Please, Rex...this is a theme with your soft D. They were playing an offense that just isn't NFL caliber last night and let them go 95 yards with the game on the line. You play to win the game, not just improve your stats.
We gave up 125 yards in the first 54 minutes of the game which was outstanding. When I watched Tebow get around Smith at the 20 I was screaming at the tv (for all the good it did except to scare the dogs)
Yes, the ball at the opponents 5 yard line w/ a QB who can't throw is an impossible spot for any defense:lol:
