You know it works, whether or not you like it or want to admit it. Its time for this team to take the role of asshole villain once more, because they play bigger when they embrace that mentality. Rex has been quiet all season, and its shown thought the play of the team on both sides. The Jags game was an aberration. Its time to talk big again and get everyone to play in your face Jets football once more. Time for some bold statement about his old team. And then its shit talking Brady and BB after that. Let's get back who this team used to be - a bunch of mean bastards you didn't want to play against.
Rex Ryan needs to point out to the world about that ridiculous call on roughing the passer on Campbell. Just can envision Rex is heated right now
this game reminded me of a mix between the miami game from 2009 when we could not stop the wild cat, and the baltimore game last season. two hellish losses. We will rebound with a vengeance.
Talking trash makes us execute more effectively, and allows us to overcome injuries at key positions, the defense to play like a top 5 unit, and win more football games. Man, I wish I knew football better. heheh
He can't really make big statements and talk shit when his defense is this pathetic. This team is pretty much the opposite of everything he has talked about and wanted since he took over. He wants ground and pound, but we can't run. He wants to limit mistakes, we keep turning the ball over. He wants a dominant defense, and the defense sucks. I'm sure he's talking plenty of stuff and pumping up the players behind closed doors. I really don't think that's the problem here. The problem is on the field, has nothing to do with what Rex says at a press conference.
The AFC Championship game last year is a prime example of this, the only game we didnt talk trash throughout the playoffs and we came out flat!
I don't think any drastic measures need to be taken. They lost. They will lose again this regular season.... The only consistent problem has been the OL, who was missing it's best player. Just move the fuck on and get ready for Baltimore.
Rex didn't say a word about the Steelers last year. Point taken, we do better playing the disrespect card than playing that respect card thats for sure.
