pretty sad i dont know how to get a poll started yet, anyway here is my predictions. 11-5, division champs, and a return to the AFCCG. from there i dont know, obviously i hope we win that game, then i hope we win the super bowl!!!! patriots, 10-6, 9-7, i just think there defense is terrible. dolphins, 10-6, 9-7, they have a tough schedule, imo. I wont even mention the bills. my contenders in the afc, jets, colts, ravens, bengals, and steelers [w/ben].
Pats 10-6 - d may suck but they still have Gady and Billy Boy..div. winner Jets 10-6 - sanchez will still have a few stinkers...wild card Fish 8-8 - Henne and Marshall will be a nice combo and their running game is top notch...defense wont be able to stop the pass Buttfalo 6-10 - whatever...its the Bills
Jets - 11-5 or 10-6. I'd love to go to 12-4, but I don't think Sanchez will have elevated his game enough for that. Pats - 9-7. Despite Welker being back, their D is quite depleted in terms of personnel. If despite the fall off in talent they do much better than 9-7, I will have to concede Belichik will have done a great coaching job. Fish - 8-8. Tough schedule, Parcells leaving will be disruptive, the new owner's bad karma comes home to roost, and Henne is not that great. Bills - 5-11. Not enough good players. AFC playoff teams - Colts, Jets, Chargers, Ravens for sure. Then I'd not rule out Denver and Houston, probably the Pats squeak in. Steelers have a very good D, but lots of turmoil on O. Jets probably face Colts again at some point in the playoffs, when depending on the seedings. I feel good about the Jets' SB chances, but enough to predict a berth? Too close to call.
10-6. We will start the season 2-3. Wins against miami and vikings. We will slip up in buffalo somehow
Only if it's icy, but we'll still beat them twice. 12-4, just like in the other 4 prediction threads.
Jets 11-5 (if Sanchez doesn't torpedo us) Pats 10-6 (moss will bitch and moan and sit too many plays out) Miami 7-9 (Henne implodes) Bills (4-12) (Spiller is a lone highlight on this team)
1 Mon, Sep 13 vs Baltimore L - Unfortunately I feel like we will lose this one. I think Baltimore is going to take advantage of Sanchez's mistakes and we're going to have too many turnovers to win. Our D will play good, but the O will lose this game for us. 2 Sun, Sep 19 vs New England W 3 Sun, Sep 26 @ Miami L - I feel like we're going to split the series with Miami this year. 4 Sun, Oct 3 @ Buffalo W 5 Mon, Oct 11 vs Minnesota W - This will be a tough one, but I think our D is going to stick it to Favre 6 Sun, Oct 17 @ Denver W 7 BYE WEEK 8 Sun, Oct 31 vs Green Bay L 9 Sun, Nov 7 @ Detroit W 10 Sun, Nov 14 @ Cleveland W 11 Sun, Nov 21 vs Houston W 12 Thu, Nov 25 vs Cincinnati W 13 Mon, Dec 6 @ New England L - I feel like we'll split this series too. 14 Sun, Dec 12 vs Miami W 15 Sun, Dec 19 @ Pittsburgh L - Could go either way, but I think at this point Pittsburgh is going to remember how to play football. 16 Sun, Dec 26 @ Chicago W 17 Sun, Jan 2 vs Buffalo W My prediction: Record for 2010: 11-5
Jets 11-5. In the division - we sweep the Bills and I give the Pats and Fish wins in their stadium. (4-2) At home (7-1) I'll concede to Aaron Rodgers/Pack @ home but we should be able to win the rest: Ravens, Bengals, Vikings, and Texans. All tough-but-winnable games. On the road (4-4) I expect to beat Cleveland/Detroit/Chicago with loses coming @ the aforementioned Fish/Pats, and Steelers/Broncos. Jets over the Chargers in the AFC Championship. Jets over the Pack in the Super Bowl.
Pats - 10-6 Jets - 10-6 - much as I like him I just have little faith in Sanchez to produce this year. Fins - 8-8 Bills - 4-12
I put 30% chance for the Jets on each of 9-7, 10-6, and 11-5, with 10% on anything else, so I'll go with the average of 10-6. As I and many others have said many times, barring major injuries Sanchez is the key to the season.
