Is Doug Jolley still around. Maybe we could trade our 1st for him and Justin Miller.

Honestly, I don't really know. I guess since we had great depth at the TE position last year, I just didn't realize that we only have one on our roster. As long as we don't draft another one in the 1st round I'll be ok

 

Good thread. I think this has been a rather overlooked position in all of the free agent madness. With Baker signing in NE, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bubba come back cheaply. I would say someone like Kleinsasser, but he re-signed yesterday, and I'm not sure what similar TEs (solid blockers, no receiving necessary) are available.

Wasn't Sean Ryan a Jet a few years back? I remember hearing good things about him.

Again, I asked for which guys were available who fit the Kleinsasser mold (SINCE HE ALREADY SIGNED). Not all TEs are created alike. Could someone informed help out?

 

I would grab someone like Stevens.

I read somewhere on ESPN that the Jets were interested in Billy Bajema, an UFA from the 49ers. Sorry, I don't have a link for it.

I don't know much about this guy, but I know a couple of teams are interested in him.

 

Putzier isn't an ideal fit. He's a converted WR. We need a solid blocking TE to complement Keller.

 

Putzier or Kleinsausser wouldnt be bad additions to go along with Keller. I really was hoping the Jets would resign Baker but oh well.

They could also look to draft a TE in the middle rounds of the draft. I think they will be looking for a good blocking Tight End.

 

He's a decent blocker, and I've heard talk that he could become a great one with the right coaching/program. He'd be worth it for a cheap signing.
