Crowd with a nice ovation for Johnny Damon. Vazquez pitching to him gives me horrible flashbacks though...

    Vazquez vs. Scherzer tonight.

I'm glad that because Jeter's such a great captain and such a team first guy, he'll SURELY accept a major pay cut.

$50M per left side of the infield through 2015 at least. Fantastic.

This is infuriating. They take pitchers and make guys work whenever they've faced them before, but they face rookie clowns and go up swinging at the first pitch. I don't want to hear about all this "preditcing how a pitcher will pitch you when you've seen him before" bullshit. You either swing with your eyes or not.

Granted, you're probably going to be fooled by a guy's stuff more often if you've never seen him before, but any MLB ballplayer can hit a fastball if he's patient and watches it all the way through.

Oh. How about Javy with 95 pitches through 4? Holy shit. Dead arm? Yeah, something like that.

It's time to bring up Nova and Montero. Fresh blood to rejuvinate these clowns and maybe light a fire under someone's ass.

Oh, and I'd still rather have Damon here over anyone we've slotted at DH this year (aside from half-day players) and I'd still rather have AJax and Coke over Granderson.

He had been in the top for the category for a few years now, it's nothing new.

Lets hope he still has that playoff magic.

lol...and while we're at it so does Cashman for not bringing Damon back...oh wait, he gave up Austin Jackson and Phil Coke for Granderson...what a steal. A .300+ hitter who might be ROY and a reliever who is 7-2 with a 2.52 era and which we could use desperately...all for a .247 hitter that can't hit lefties....brilliant.

    Austin Jackson's BABIP is .422.

I'll type that again, because it needs to be stated twice for it to be believed.

    Austin Jackson's BABIP is .422.

Besides, Granderson has been a huge disappointment, Jackson has been a positive surprise, yet the difference in OPS+ is 1.
