Thurman Munson-30 years

This was a couple of years before I could really remember the Yankees but it is amazing how fast time flies.

 

I hated Thurmon Munson passionately, because I was a HUGE Carlton Fisk fan. Doesn't mean I wished death on him, though.

If I remember right, he had the highest batting average ever in the Cape Cod Baseball League, and I think that record still stands even today.

 

Somewhere, Cory Lidle and Thurman are forming a heavenly battery and smiling down on those making the most of their time here on earth.
