I put together this draft order for three rounds in case anyone felt like doing a mock draft. I did the alternating pick deal that the NFL does with teams that have the same record, and adjusted for playoffs/trades as well. It should be pretty close to how it will turn out. Note, the only 2 variables would be the coin toss for 3/4 between the Bucs and Browns (they'd switch in each round, in my example I have the Bucs winning), and obviously the Super Bowl winner/loser. Round 1 1. Oakland Raiders 2. Detroit Lions 3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4. Cleveland Browns 5. Arizona Cardinals 6. Washington Redskins 7. Minnesota Vikings 8. Houston Texans 9. Miami Dolphins 10. Atlanta Falcons 11. San Francisco 49ers 12. Buffalo Bills 13. St. Louis Rams 14. Carolina Panthers 15. Pittsburgh Steelers 16. Green Bay Packers 17. Jacksonville Jaguars 18. Cincinnati Bengals 19. Tennessee Titans 20. New York Giants 21. Denver Broncos 22. Dallas Cowboys 23. Kansas City Chiefs 24. New England Patriots (from SEA) 25. New York Jets 26. Philadelphia Eagles 27. New Orleans Saints 28. New England Patriots 29. Baltimore Ravens 30. San Diego Chargers 31. Indianapolis Colts 32. Chicago Bears Round 2 1. Oakland Raiders 2. Detroit Lions 3. Cleveland Browns 4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 5. New York Jets (from WAS) 6. Arizona Cardinals 7. Houston Texans 8. Miami Dolphins 9. Minnesota Vikings 10. San Francisco 49ers 11. Buffalo Bills 12. Atlanta Falcons 13. Carolina Panthers 14. Pittsburgh Steelers 15. Green Bay Packers 16. Jacksonville Jaguars 17. Cincinnati Bengals 18. Tennessee Titans 19. New York Giants 20. St. Louis Rams 21. Dallas Cowboys 22. Kansas City Chiefs 23. Seattle Seahawks 24. Denver Broncos 25. Philadelphia Eagles 26. New Orleans Saints 27. New York Jets 28. New England Patriots 29. Baltimore Ravens 30. San Diego Chargers 31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (from IND) 32. Chicago Bears Round 3 1. Oakland Raiders 2. Detroit Lions 3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4. Cleveland Browns 5. Arizona Cardinals 6. Denver Broncos (from WAS) 7. Miami Dolphins 8. Minnesota Vikings 9. Houston Texans 10. Buffalo Bills 11. Atlanta Falcons 12. San Francisco 49ers 13. Pittsburgh Steelers 14. Green Bay Packers 15. Jacksonville Jaguars 16. Tennessee Titans 17. New York Giants 18. St. Louis Rams 19. Carolina Panthers 20. Kansas City Chiefs 21. Seattle Seahawks 22. Denver Broncos 23. Dallas Cowboys 24. New Orleans Saints 25. New York Jets 26. Philadelphia Eagles 27. New England Patriots 28. Baltimore Ravens 29. San Diego Chargers 30. Indianapolis Colts 31. Chicago Bears
The huddle report had it listed like we were giving up the 4th for Barlow, then giving up 2 7th round picks, and at the same time receiving 2 7th rounders. That should all end up with us having one 7th rounder, where that is I have no idea. I'll get the link in a second.
They go 25 to 27 to 25 because teams that have the same record rotate throughout the draft. For example, the Jets, Eagles and Saints all finished 10-6, so they're consecutive in order. Because in Round 1 it goes NYJ, PHI, then NO, in Rd 2 it goes PHI, NO, NYJ, then in round three NO, NYJ, PHI and so on. Whoever picked first from the previous round goes to the end of the line. I actually corrected a bit of a mistake I made, but it should be fine now. Also, the Jets pick one spot earlier in the 3rd because the Bengals used their 3rd in last year's supplemental draft (Ahmad Brooks).
http://thehuddlereport.com/nickelpackage/tradedpicks.shtml 2 REDSKINS to JETS for 2006 Draft Day Trade 4 JETS to 49ERS for RB Barlow 7 BUCCANEERS to JETS for TE Jolley 7 JETS to COWBOYS for TE Ryan 7 JETS to RAIDERS for DE Hamilton 7 VIKINGS to JETS for QB Bollinger
So we have: 1st rounder 2nd rounder 2nd rounder 3rd rounder 5th rounder 6th rounder And no 4th or 7th round pick. Correct?
Close, we should have a 7th round pick, it's just that we don't know if it's ours, Minnesota's, or Tampa Bay's.
It was conditional in the sense that it could have gone up to a 3rd rounder or so if Barlow had a good year. He didn't, so it will stay at the minimum, which seems to be that 4th rounder.
OK, quick question, and i should know this but what did we give up to the redskins for a 2nd round pick??
Redskins got the Jets' 2 round pick (#35) for their 2nd rounder (#53), 6th round pick and this year's 2nd Round pick. The #53 together with the 6th and 7th round picks went to the Cowboys for #49 (Clemens) I hope I got it right.
dont worry guys, wait and see how quickly Tangini picks up those picks, expect many draft day trades to get more picks. I'am so excited for the draft.
WE gave up our 2nd rounder (35) last year and in return we got 2nd round, No. 53 (traded) 2006- traded with Dallas to move up to select Clemens. 6th round, No. 189 (traded) 2006 2nd round, 2007 draft
